suspects -- they fired shots. the neighbor wasn't armed so the shots came from the suspect. they struck the neighbor and the neighbor taken to the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. they then took off in an unknown vehicle. police have been here some time and have no suspect description at this time so they're looking for armed individuals at this point in time. the neighbor fortunately nonlife threatening injuries. life in lakewood, jamie leary, cbs4 news. tomorrow there are new rules for pot packaging. shawn chitnis is live at the state capital with a closer look. 0. >> reporter: good morning, the goal is to avoid having any children from accidentally eating a piece of marijuana

for candy or a treat. these new guidelines will help in getting that situation to change. they're going to be guidelines for medical and recreational marijuana both a universal logo placed on these edible products so parents and others in the area can quickly realize this is something children should not be eating. so in addition to the universal logo there's other guidelines for the packaging that needs to well as keep out of reach of children. also you won't be able to have candy or candies on the label unless the maker of that edible actually has the word "candy" as part of their brand name and one other step they're taking, in addition to having that universal symbol on the packaging, they hope it will

so these new guidelines take into effect tomorrow for manufactures and they will be making the products and retail stores won't be able to sell a product without this labelling after december 1st. former israeli president shimon peres has now been laid to rest. world leaders including president obama and bill clinton atened . thousands of statesmen and dignitaries honored the life and work of former israeli president shimon peres who died wednesday at age 93. it was a state funeral fitting for a man held as a champion of peace. >> he lived a life of purpose. he soared to incredible heights. >> president obama came to

5:34 on a friday morning, let's get a check of weather and traffic every ten minutes on the 4's. good morning, rain to start the day and starting to ease up a bit. some in the foothills this morning to the south and east side of town as you head towards idaho springs, there's a little rain and as we head up towards walden close to fort collins a bit of rain as well and a bit on the western side of the state. a little near glenwood springs and craig. looking at futurecast we may have rain in denver and a shower or two this morning but a better chance comes later this afternoon and evening. by 2:00, more showers in denver and we could have some stick around into the evening hours and south of denver, a better chance of that and overnight tonight this will clear. kids at the bus stop, maybe a sprinkle or two. temperatures in the mid to upper 40s so fairly nice temperatures. let's check in with joel.

coming to town. it's loading up. look at this pocket of volume from our cbs4 mousetrap cam. speeds looking great into the 60s as you get past u.s. 30. nine minutes from thornton to denver. here we are across the denver metro area. a new trouble spot popping up at i-270. not seeing delays from that so hopefully it's off to the shoulder. breaking news from overnight. lakewood police responded to a stabbing at an complex on bellevue and galpego street. the victim is expected to be okay. police do not have a clear description of a suspect. the family members of two sisters found dead at a very exclusive island resort in seychelles are still waiting for autopsy results.

was with her sister on a vacation of a lifetime. they were found unresponsive in their bed overnight after a night of drinking. the engineer of the hoboken platform in new jersey. one woman is dead and several hundreds injured. they will be pulling the event recorder to get more information about the speed and braking and other factors in the trash. witnesses say the train never slowed down and launched off the track into the station. >> the whole place shook. >> it was chaos.

health officials are urging you to get your flu shot sooner than later. everyone six months and older should get vaccinated.

which officials say is concerning because the group is among those at risk for flu complications. around 170 million doses will be available this year. one in eight working age adults in the united states have a disability according to a new cdc report. fewer than half of these 22 million people with disabilities are either working or looking for work. among working age adults who are in the labor force those with a disability are compared with people without disabilities. high indoor temperatures appear to worsen the symptoms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease also known as copd. researches say it's mrrly bad in homes with high levels of air pollutants. great surprise for kids at children's hospital yesterday.

in the back up. i would get off the highway earlier at colfax which is an alternate. maybe you can head northbound along colorado. a tough drive this morning coming out of aurora into denver this morning westbound along i-seven o. here we are across the denver metro area. closure of mississippi to the east of santa fe out to broadway. southbound coming into town lauren, slowing is typical this time of day as it's st 120th out to i-70, 12 minutes. rain on the satellite and radar in the foothills now starting to clear from parts of the western slope and here across the front range and eastern plains, mainly on the cloudy side. not as much sunshine to start the day. as you head towards the foothills up towards red feather lakes and walden also a little bit near fort collins, rain and some higher elevations

area and steamboat springs towards glenwood springs rain this morning. we're still tapping into the subtropical moisture flow we have been talking about. rain in parts of new mexico and el pass paso. maybe a pop or two of rain in denver. it gets more widespread so if you're on i-70 and in the mountains you may get more at p through maybe if you have date night or kids have the a football game, there's a chance for rain to roll on through. skies clear overnight tonight and clouds tomorrow morning. tomorrow a chance for rain mainly on the isolated side. south of denver you pick up more. for the most part you look to stay on the dry side. 60 degrees in denver and 54 in greeley and 47 in burlington and 42 in leadville and 53 in
