you. our melissa garcia has more. both of them had water in their lungs. explain. what does that mean? >> reporter: well, alan, it is right now with the information out there still too soon to tell, but there are dozens of potential reasons that could lead to that including drug overdose or other accidental causes including altitude sickness. right now annie was competitive team member on an adult team of figure skaters. they are devastated of course at the news that one of their team members is gone. taking a look at some of the pictures, she took this season off to go on a one-month vacation in africa beginning with a safari and then going on the islands. an autopsy found the 37-year- old and her sister died of

her brain. we checked in with dr. dave hnida about the possible causes for that type of condition. he said there are dozens of possibilities as we mentioned including medication or drug overdose especially when combined with alcohol which alcohol was the case, we know from authorities in these deaths. accidental causes include altitude related injury li carbon monoxide poisoning but it is too early to know the details behind these still mysterious deaths. >> the coach spoke withous today. she says annie was a determined competitor but even moreso a caring and compassionate friend. >> she had one of those personalities that just drew you in and she became friends instantly with the women on the

motorcyclist was speeding on i- 70 when he lost control and was thrown from his bike. that is when another driver hit him. that motorcyclist is in the hospital in critical condition. that crash closed westbound i- 70 for over an hour during the morning commute today. a story we first told you about during the cbs4 morning news. police in lakewood say they are only looking for one person who shot a n that man confronted the suspect who was trying to steal a car. that is when the suspect opened fire hitting the man add another car in that area. the man has minor wounds. the suspect left in a car believed to be stolen from denver. >> >> there is a new tool in the

control of colorado, has shifted off to the south. this is the next player here, that low pressure out of the pacific will be coming our way by tuesday. we're starting to feel the southwest flow out ahead of it. this is a little weather disturbance crossing the state right now. that is why we have the cloudcover today. we're seeing a handful of showers. we'll get in closer there and stop it. i saw a lightning bolt there a second ago over there are a few thundershowers popping up. a little lane of showers now trying to develop from outside of burns, wyoming and down to the greeley area and northeastern suburbs of the denver. a couple of waves of showers are going to try and work their way through. here is future cast. we could if we get enough daytime heating see thunderstorms develop into the afternoon. we'll be watching that for you.

kill low watt usage. they replaced the meter. they said there can be a spike in the bill because then it is accounted for. >> i called customer service and talked to one person there. their answer, there was nothing they could do for me. >> that is when he called cbs4. he shows for the past two years his usage is the same month to month. xcel said they will now find his owed sure the kill low watts were recorded correctly when it was changed out. her bill jumped five times after a meter change. >> if i'm hardly using my electricity now and it is a most $200, what will it be like in december and january? >> xcel says they are looking into the concerns. hall says he just wants to understand his bill. >> i paid for what i used. i don't have a problem with that. you know, i just have a problem
