donald trump and gary johnson in town traveling to different parts of the state. let's first start with donald trump who will begin the day in the southern part of the state at the pueblo convention center speaking this afternoon. then he speaks at the northern end of the state of the budweiser events center in loveland around 7 pm. this comes after the new york times reported trump filed a loss of income of more than $900 million in 1995. that loss would've paying federal taxes for up to 18 years. his campaign said trump did what he needed so he could pay as little in taxes as possible. it is unclear if this issue will come up today in colorado. also in our state is a libertarian presidential nominee, gary johnson. the former governor of new mexico will speak at the ecu self denver campus -- in the

campus. as for the average of polls shows the race is getting close between both trump and clinton with donald trump having a slight lead over secretary clinton. she will be campaigning in ohio today. shawn chitnis, cbs4 morning news. 5:04 and shawn thank you for that. let's turn to weather and traffic every ten minutes on the s. at least the northwest mountains of colorado with a couple lightning strikes been observed west of pieces like craig. rely for the denver and fort collins areas we have a miles per to the day with temperatures in the 50s and 60s right now. we were watching rain earlier over park county trying to make its way to the northeast. we are going to keep it dry today with lots of sunshine.

investigators were able to get limited access to the transit train. ntsb vice prayer -- vice chair here. >> the locomotive was built in the mid-1990s. it is likely that it is a newer data reporter in the lead passenger car, the controlling car. so we are hopeful that that will have information that will be functioning. >> reporter: should >> when they are not working, they are usually replaced. >> reporter: thomas gallagher told investigators he does not remember the crash. >> you look at his watch and noticed the train was six minutes late. he said when he checked the speedometer, who was operating at 10 miles-per-hour when entering the station track. >> reporter: federal regulators launched a deep audit of the railroad into turning of dozens of safety violations.

markets are up ahead this morning, and we have a safety recall that could affect subaru owners here in colorado. plus, costco is the trouble with tiffany for barring any. here is marlie hall today's money watch. >> reporter: seabury is recalling vehicles because the windshield wiper motors can overheat creating a fire risk. it affects some legacy and affect cars from the 2010 2014 model years. the company said it is unclear whether the have caused fires injuries. stocks rallied after the losses on thursday to end the week in positive territory. the dow gained 164 point in the nasdaq added 42. tiffany took on costco for selling rings with his name on them. a federal jury ruled costco should pay $5.5 million for
