we will be back up into the 80s this afternoon which is 10 degrees above normal for the first week in october. lots of sunshine once again today, but it will get breezy. it has prompted a red flag warning. we will talk about that plus a cold front on the way tonight with a big cool down ahead. right now this check on the traffic with joel. take a look from our cbs4 mousetrap cam . down using those cars we will not see the slowing. it will slow down over the next quarter hour or suffer from thornton to denver along i-to 70 that is where we watch the speeds slow up. the eyes of politics are watching colorado once again. donald trump and gary johnson are visiting the state. cbs4's shawn chitnis is live from at the capital with the

good morning, shawn. >> reporter: good morning. with two president of candidates in town, it is just another reminder of how competitive colorado will be this election season. let's put gary johnson and who is going to be in town as a libertarian presidential nominee. he will be speaking at cu south denver campus in parker tonight. here in colorado he has a larger support base than we have seen in other states around 70% poll. as for the other candidate in town that is the republican nominee donald trump, he will first be at the pueblo convention center in the afternoon and then heading up to the budweiser events center in loveland around 7 pm. that will be two stops he makes here in colorado as the race it's tightening up. the politics average of pulls

police are wanting to track him down. et al. happened on friday the 52nd and sheridan. stan bush has the latest on what happened. >> reporter: this is the suspect who allegedly tried to forcibly adept to abduct a teenage girl on her way to school friday morning near 53rd and sheridan. the man stopped his silver suv around here and told the girl to get in the vehicle. the girl ran away in the incident was reported by a school bus driver. the suspect is a 5'3" hispanic men wearing glasses with an elaborate haircut. he has sharply shaven facial hair too. the suspect should be considered dangerous. >> that was stan bush reporting. police said the man within a silver honda, but they do not

ten minutes on the 4s . good morning everybody. in the high country temperatures are in the 30s in some spots but we are above freezing, it even in the mountains. our weather watcher gary lindstrom reported 34. meanwhile on the eastern plains nancy rockwall and wray has 57 degrees this morning before the cold front comes through. it comes through tonight with 64 right now at with a mouth start to the day. -- mild start today. there is really no snow at the mountains at this point. we are also watching a couple of thunderstorms up in the far west corner of the state with a few lightning strikes up near craig and maker. -- maker -- meeker. let's get a

here is joel. good morning. i think you'll like this the drive across the dental natural area this morning. this is from the bridges into the tech center. have some flashing lights in the north direction with no construction going on. speeds into the 60s from thornton to denver with a reported accident as you travel along i-76 in the westbound direction right at i-25. today because through the identities of five young people killed in a crash. arapaho border. it happened at about 5:40 yesterday morning. distributors will try to determine what caused the driver to run off the road. we do believe speed was one factor. the car flipped several times and caught fire. the car is a mess and the only description for the driver and passenger was that it was a group of young people.

is reportedly missing in paris police confirm all this. jamie yuccas has the latest. >> reporter: armed, masked gunmen dressed as police officer held up kim kardashian west at a luxury home in paris reportedly stole millions of dollars in jewelry. in a statement given to cbs news, the spokesperson said she was badly shaken but physically unharmed. paris police declined outside the house where she is staying. kardashian west's overseas for paris fashion week with family members. kim has said at the home at least once in 2014 before her marriage to kanye west. >> i am sore. >> reporter: news of the incident have to kanye as he was in the middle of performing at citi field in queens, new york. he bolted from the stage in the

give us some flashing lights underneath the bridge. it looks like the police are just taking speeds and making sure everyone is getting into town so the this morning. we have a rollover walk in the left lane along i go 76 inter- northbound i-275 causing delays. that is really the only delays we are seeing across the denver metro area this morning. i-225 and c-470 wide open. we have seen some delays from the early construction closure we had but as you make your way northbound take a look at this. the drivetime southbound come into town is still looking great. we are seeing in the event of slowing along us-36 with speeds into the 50s as you travel in both directions. happening today mount evans highway is closing for the season. the highway should reopen to

it is already moved in. >> it really is. especially this week. we are getting much much colder weather and we have to expect that this time of year. today will be another unusually warm day back at near 80 degrees. the combination of form temperatures and low humidity means a red flag warning been issued from the new until 7 pm. -- noon until 7 pm. we have the ed wildfires today because of the dry conditions. right now it is 64 degrees at dia and 54 in greeley. it is a mild start to the day considering it is now 3 october. later on expect temperatures in the 50s and 60s on the west slope and we will see temperatures in the upper 70s around denver, boulder, and fort collins. we have had a couple of showers

mountains but near dinosaur national monument we expect a line of thunderstorms upper northwest colorado with a cold front sitting to the northwest of us. that is when it will be right over the denver area with no moisture expected or shower activity. it we much cooler starting tomorrow -- it will be much cooler starting tomorrow with sunshine both days. no rain or snow for us as this front comes thursday 51 and a rain on thursday and then friday 61. i don't think it will be the first freeze of the season, but it will be close. >> the pressure is on. want to mention that ashton is now join us in the morning, which is awesome. >> it is so great to be back in colorado. i always knew i wanted to come

great to have him here. the broncos are now 4-0 after the beat down yesterday. >> it was an incredible game. the credit goes to paxton lynch but i am wondering this morning about the injury of trevor siemian. >> i think the way that fashion is a weather geek i am a sports geek. despite a weather delay of 90 minutes and a shoulder injury or trevor siemian the broncos improved on the season with another the defense. siemian left the game with a shoulder injury and he would not return for the rest of the day. the first round pick of the 2016 draft was paxton lynch in his nfl debut. and the broncos didn't miss a beat. lynch through his first touchdown pass to emmanuel sanders. >> you never know. we need a

struggle with but i thought he handled himself well. i really liked the way he avoided some bad place. was impressive. >> reporter: lynch was efficient in his first regular- season outing, but he also showed some great timing. kubiak gave him a chance to work the whole game plan. lynch worked out of three sets in the game and the broncos let him throw out of situations, which is good news. if he cannot play next sunday than lynch would hit his first career start. >> i've been preparing to play from the first preseason game. so up until this point i will just be preparing like a have been and if the opportunity presents itself then i will play. >> reporter: the concert for the broncos is the offensive line. they continue to struggle with

the broncos rushed for less than 100 years with trevor siemian sacked three times. one of them resulted in his game ending injury. why are the broncos 4-0? the broncos defense of course recording two interceptions in the first half of the game and both offensive drives following resulting in touchdowns. the broncos' defense continues to struggle making te uncomfortable along with the two interceptions the defense reported five sacks and a forced fumble on the day. they held jamison winston to 170 years. that means no quarterback this season has been able to pass for over 200 yards against the broncos. up next to the atlanta falcons and matt ryan. ryan will be the fourth former

we know that colorado is looking at growth for decades to come. the public is looking at sharing ideas of how to develop denver better. cbs4's kelly werthmann explains. >> reporter: every day dozens of people are moving to colorado. in 2035 it is estimated more than 100,000 more people will call denver their new home. >> denver is one of the most rapidly changing and vibrant cities in the country. now is the time to come together and decide what we want to be >> as city development prepares plans for denver's feature, they want the community's input on what the mile high city should look like. >> do care about parks? open space? transit? good mobility opportunities? >> reporter: this tuesday and wednesday the city is hosting five meetings where the public can share their ideas. whether it is but housing or traffic
