. good morning. 4:40 right now this is the news on cbs 4. it is wednesday the fifth of october. >> thank you for waking up with us this morning. depending on where you are in the state, the first snow already has affected the along i-70 in the mountains. it has hit people and people have woke up to a freeze warning in the metro area. so the question is what do we expect for the rest of the week? good morning. good wednesday morning. cold is the big weather story this morning. if you're not going to fall to freezing, you'll be close. we have the freeze warning and

rbl. we'll see if they are able to make an impact later today. this is happening for those living in a part of evergreen where they said they chose that spot because they wanted to escape the city and the traffic finding a quiet place to call home. and they are concerned that the one rental property is changing that, bringing a lot of unwanted noise, a noise they hoped to escape by living in the neighborhood and now it is coming to th have a minimum stay of 30 days. but the neighbors said they've been keeping track of people going in and out over the controversy of the month and they've seen people going in and out in 3 days alone. and they are fined. and the owners that apply for a short-term rental permit. but it was denied. so we'll have to see what happens later today. we did reach out to the owner and unable to get in touch with them. but the hearing is set for

bahamas. it is responsible for at least 11 deaths. here is the latest. >> reporter: hurricane matthew is barreling towards the bahama after hitting cuba and haiti. and the category 4 storm brought torrential rain to haiti's southwestern peninsula. streets were raging rivers and waters moved the cars down the street with ease and people were trying to get to of the coastline friday up to the georgia/south carolina coast and saturday into sunday, it starts to move north and east. >> reporter: hurricane hurricane matthew is predictinged to make landfall florida on thursday. governor scott is not taking any changes, declaring a state of emergency and warning of a direct hit. >> there will be massive destruction that we have not seen in years.
