continue later today as well. right now let's get a check on the traffic. here is joel. >> we don't have any big closures this morning but just a couple lane closures on southbound i-225 due to ongoing roadwork. >> thank you very much. working news with a shooting overnight in denver. >> one person is dead and another in critical condit larimer in the writer district. shawn chitnis has been working this story all morning long. >> reporter: two people shot in the situation 30 minutes ago. one person died from their injuries and the other with critical injuries at the hospital. denver police came to this area

been shot outside the bar and there are several inside coming out after hearing about the shooting and then becoming witnesses. that was a bit of a challenge for denver police to try to interview all of those witnesses. at this time denver police tell us they have no idea about a possible suspect or any information to try to pursue. try to get details from one of the victims. it is unclear if the man that has the critical injuries was the one involved. police collected evidence and part of the streets still blocked off. shawn chitnis, cbs4 morning news. >> thanks a lot. we are awaiting for the condition of gary kubiak. he was taken to the hospital yesterday.

live this morning with the latest. >> reporter: we hope to learn more about the condition of kubiak this morning. he did address the media briefly but was taken to the hospital right after that. they say it was just precautionary. the video shows kubiak leaving sports authority field in an ambulance. a spokesperson said he was experiencing flulike symptoms and went for an evaluation. he is paying strict attention to his health after he suffered a mini stroke while was head coach for the houston texans. according to cbs4's medical editor david aguilera he could suffer another. the doctor says these can develop again over the course of time. quibec appeared just fine trip

we have heading the northbound direction of i-25. we just had a few lanes blocked out to yell this morning. breaking news this morning with an early-morning shooting rattling the rino district. these are pictures from a little bit early. scotty shawn chitnis reporting on what happened. shawn ? >> reporter: police presence at this intersection with police blocking at both ends of 27. some crime scene investigators still tracking evidence of a few minutes ago. this all happened around 1:15 this morning. police telling us it was quite the scene as they arrived. it is fairly new and they do have some sort of ronco's watch
