finish line. first at 10:00 tonight breaking news one person dead in a hit and run crash in denver. four vehicles involved and the man responsible took off. our jeff todd on the scene for us with the very latest, jeff? >> karen we found out from investigators that they believe they may have the suspect about 15 or 20 blocks south of us paramedics found a man swimming in a lake in city facial lacerations they believe that that man may have been driving this white charger. bear with me as i kind of describe what happened here. we're on i-70 in the southbound lanes. it was around 7:00 when the white charger was in the lane closest to the median and rear ended a prius. it sent the cars spinning. the young female driver of the prius died at the scene. the third car to be hit was the

investigators believe that car spun as well. they don't know how many people were inside that car but all the people inside that car have been taken to denver health. we do not know their condition. the fourth car to get hit is over here. this small vw wound up so far off the road the driver of that car walked away uninjured. police are looking for a man. he fled south on colorado and they think that car to flee denver police would like to talk to any driver who may have picked up somebody around colorado and 40th. we expect cofind much more -- we expect to find much more information from denver police and about the suspect tomorrow morning. cbs 4 news. to the latest on coach gary kubiak's health scare. he'll sit out the game after suffering a veer migraine that sent him -- a severe migraine

migraine. michael spencer talking about who steps in now. his replacement not a household name. >> no it's not but a lot of experience. joe is serving as the interim coach. he has 28 years of experience in the nfl. he's in the second year of his second stint with the broncos. he was with the team from 199 to 1992. the plan is for him to serve as the te thursday's game and then gary kubiak will be back on monday. the incident with kubiak last night obviously a cause for concern but the good news is the broncos don't expect any long-term affects. >> when we left the hospital we were very encouraged with everything that happened. so you know obviously any time you have an episode like gary had in 13 what happened last night is a big concern. but we left the hospital and

relieved with what they heard and what went on. so we feel very good about it. >> the broncos released a statement from coach kubiak earlier saying in part quote i'm feeling much better and i'm thankful for everyone's thoughts and well wishes. it's tough not to be there but i have great confidence in joe d and our players. they practiced tonight and will prak tass next week. sglsh prac -- practice next week. >> more on that migraine condition that kept him in the hospital overnight we want to get to karen live at sports thorlt field for us tonight. -- authority field for us tonight. >> it's call a complex mie grain and it's not un-- migraine and it's not uncommon that people will end up in the hospital because they show signs similar to a stroke.

sending a patient home. shortly after the game on sunday against the atlanta falcons coach kubiak was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for which we now know was a complex migraine. >> it's a migraine headache like most people know about. but it can be associated with focal neurologic symptoms. >> initially he was said to have flu-like symptoms. sharon, a vascular neurolt more often symptoms of complex migraines resemble more serious conditions like stroke. >> people with migraine headaches about a third of them have some other symptom such as vision changes can be numbness or weakness on one side of the body and sometimes with trouble talking like that stroke. >> something kubiak has experienced before. in 2013 working as head coach of the houston texans he

collapsed while walking off the field at half-time during a game against the colts. according to a statement from the denver broncos kubiak did undergo precautionary tests and spent sunday night in the hospital. >> because they look like stroke or tia we get scans of the head and look at the blood ves sets and -- vessels and make sure people are getting better. >> one thing that is unclear is what triggers these during kubiak's time off from coaching that's doctors hope to pin down. britt moreno cbs 4 news. two taggers costing the city of denver thousands of the pair was caught on surveillance camera here. kelly live at 9th and pennsylvania. >> karen if you take a close look you can see markings right

there's more graffiti including here on the wall of this apartment steps. police tell us they believe at least two vandals are behind the graffiti because they were both caught on camera. >> these guys are damaging our city. >> with a couple cans of spray paint a couple guys are caught leaving their mark. >> they'll write it script like but you can't read it. >> they vandalized an apartment complex in the early morning hours of august 18th. gray with the gang unit knows this isn't their first time. >> once i saw these tags come up i already had several cases involving these taggers. >> their unique styles and letters lead investigators to believe their so called tagger names are flora and ages. using software which logs reported graffiti they have hit

her i am not sure why this information was not communicated to the fppa. today we sent confirmation. 15 years after his death the pension error was corrected. >> who screwed up here? i think you can draw those conclusions for yourself. >> slack seems to blame the city of denver for the $70,000 mistake. >> is the city of denver culpaable? because it happened 13 years ago. >> amber miller says they're investigating and points out that when he died the city sent the pension association his death certificate which says he was killed at work. city officials met with julie. >> do you think she should be made whole? >> yes. and that's why we are at the table with her. morally she should be -- this is something we want to help her with.
