guys that you bled with. developing tonight two evergreen high school students arrested accused of harassing and threatening classmates. both play on the football team. lauren dispirito live at evergreen. they had again. what more are we learning about the allegations? >> reporter: a spokeswoman for the sheriff's office tells us the alleged hazing were bullying happened not once but several times on school property. each time targeting the four students. the evergreen high school football team took the field friday night without two of its players. jefferson county deputies have arrested two male students on suspicion of felony menacing and misdemeanor harassment. for months deputies say the students both sophomores and football players have been bullying four of their peers.

when one of the two students allegedly threatened the group with a piece of broken glass. students tell cbs4 teachers and staff go out of their way trying to prevent bullying. >> i think this high school is probably the best one in the state that has lowest bullying. >> it should stop. everyone has been talked to about bullying and not bullying. >> reporter: in addition to the criminal charges and being kicked off the team, the two students have also been suspended from school. live in evergreen, lauren dispirito, cbs4 news. now to a developing story a jogger attacked in a popular denver park and now police are asking for your help to catch the bad guy. stan bush live in stapleton tonight. a lot of families that hangout in that park. >> reporter: that's right. this happened right on this system of trails, this is a very popular park in the center of the stapleton neighborhood which is one of denver's safest neighborhoods. another reason why people are

denver police released this sketch after an incident 11 days ago where a woman was sexually assaulted in this stapleton park. neighbors say they are looking out but admit the image is too basic to pinpoint the suspect in real life. >> it was hard to say that i could say that was one person or not. >> reporter: police are looking for a 6'0" hispanic man. he was wearing turquoise shorts and has brown ha on facebook friends of the victim say she was stopped by the man while on a run asking for directions to the library. she continued on and didn't hear him chase her because she was listening to her music too loudly. >> you hear about them all the time and as i said the kids, we tell them to do things together. and be careful in the park. >> reporter: this is it -- this happened in the middle of the day according to the same source the woman was attacked when she ran downhill out of the side of the runners in the park. the suspect groped her and fled when she screamed. >> when i go running i don't

that could happen. >> reporter: incidents like this are rare in this booming town but for some it makes it more shocking. >> it's a little scary for sure. yeah. >> reporter: still very little information to go on but if you do recognize that suspect from the story call denver police. live in stapleton, stan bush, cbs4 news. now to new information on the people behind the violent robbery at a liquor store in jefferson county. three men and a woman stole booze from that store at woodmark plaza near and wadsworth. during the getaway they fired shots at a witness. no one was hit but this was a very close call. there's a daycare right next door. we caught up with the father who rushed over to pick up his kids. >> ever i realized that her teacher told me that they were in the playground once they heard the shots, then kind of got a little bit more real for me. unfortunately this -- we live

antonio lewin now facing charges for conspiracy to commit murder and theft. and there's a warrant out for darren connolly's arrest. the other person in custody is juvenile. copter4 was up over a crash involving a school bus in denver. two cars collided at 39th and fox. one of them careened into the bus. 34 students were on board. five of the students and the driver of one of the cars went to the hospital but police tell us the injuries are not serious. >> using your favorite websites today? if so you're not alone. dozens of popular sites like amazon, twitter and facebook were affected by hackers. jeff todd has been learning more about this attack. do we know yet who or what is behind this? >> reporter: we don't know who. here's a basic breakdown of what happened. very likely that you and your pc are doing just fine. but when you type in an address like twitter.com, there's a directory in between that takes

directory is what got attacked by hackers all day long. stumping you from getting to your favorite website. >> the industry today experienced what we call an internet traumatic event. >> reporter: dale drew is the chief security officer for level three communications one of the country's biggest internet service providers headquartered in broomfield. security experts spent most of friday monitoring and reviewing the cyber attack going on. >> it is terrifying. this is a significant evolution in the attacks base as far as we're concerned. we're just seeing it sort of explode right in front of us and evolve right in front of us. >> reporter: popular websites aren't having issues but users and consumers are having problems getting there. >> the dns server is getting so many requests from the bad guy from all over the world can't tell the difference between the bad guy and the good eye. >> so just getting overloaded. >> completely overwhelmed. >> reporter: we asked dale what

>> consumers are just fine. the machines are not under attack. their machines are not compromised. they just won't be able to get to the company that they want to get access to. >> reporter: there were three waves of these attacks and as dale drew told us, there's really nothing stopping these hackers so it's definitely something we're going to continue to monitor through the weekend. jeff todd, cbs4 news. >> thank you. new developments in the tens of thousands of acres in northern colorado, a juvenile charged with arson for allegedly starting the fire, beaver creek fire started in june has burned more than 38,000 acres and did destroy a home. district attorney office it is not releasing any more information about how the fire started. happening now authorities up in eagle county are checking local trails after tax strips and barbed wire were found on a popular mountain bike trail.

nearly 300 men and boys in mosul. and as coalition forces get closer to regaining control of that big city, it's believed isis will be using civilians as human shields. investigators are trying a new approach to fight gang violence in the metro area. local and federal law enforcement teamed up to charge violent gang members with organized crime offenses. investigators say they worked hard to identify the most violent blood gang members. they used cell phone records and gu >> we look and start linking shootings maybe some insignificant shootings or appear insignificant, shot at or something like that, ballistic evidence recovered from that. that could become very important in a murder. somewhere down the road where there's not a lot of evidence tied to that. >> a grand jury indicted eight bloods gang members, nine other bloods are already facing criminal charges.

pediatrics has new guidelines for young children and screen time. the group previously said kids under two should not use any media at all. now they say parents of children 18 took a 24 months can introduce them to digital media but only with high quality educational programming. >> what you want to make sure you're doing is co-viewing it with them so that your narrating what's going on. reteaching what they're learning and if they're doing any sort of apps, co-playing. >> the new guidelines old -- recommend 18 months of what all screen time. except video chatting. kids ages two to five should be limited to one hour per day of media and six and older should always have consistent time limits. ski season officially started today with opening day at arapahoe basin. >> [ cheering ] >> the black mountain express lift started at 9:00 a.m. and right now the high noon

last year the broncos defense gave up 18.5 points per game. this year 18 points again. so pretty much the same. the one big difference is when the points have come. last year the broncos did not give up a first-quarter touchdown until there is a game of the season. this year they've given up a td on the first drive in four of the six games. teams are often using running backs and tight en passing game. which led jon gruden to suggest the broncos should play more zone. >> jon gruden has not coached in a while, has he? we have not played as well as we wanted to because we didn't win. but we're still doing some good things. i think we're still first in pass defense in the national football league against a lot of top passing teams and quarterbacks.
