aurora police say a man is dead after being shot. >> we're learning this could be a case of self-defense. live where the shooting happened. few details from police but neighbors told you what they saw. >> reporter: it was a very interesting day. officers are still here on scene as they continue to investigate this shooting. when they responded earlier this afternoon to an assault they found a man shot in front of this home. but neighbo shooting are very bizarre. residents tell us around 3:00 this afternoon the hispanic man who they don't believe has any ties to the neighborhood appeared zombie like and was possibly on drugs. a witness who does not want to be identified said the stranger walked into his home minutes before the shooting. >> he came inside our house and stepped over where the doorstep is. me and my brother and my mom went up and asked what are you doing here. and he was like i think i'm in

being very responsive. it didn't seem like he knew ha he was or what was happening. >> reporter: the witness says the stranger then wandered across the street where he was shot in the front yard of this home. the stranger was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. his identity has not yet been released. but witnesses believe the shooter was acting out of self-defense. because he told neighbors the stranger reached for his police want to stress there is no suspect wanted in this shooting and there's no danger to the public right now. but they said if you saw something that could be helpful to this investigation give them a call. you could be eligible for a $2,000 crime stoppers reward. >> thank you. and tonight an investigation into an early morning murder in denver continues. >> right now denver police are conducting interviews to find out who's responsible. dylan thomas has been following

and residents woke up to a large police presence out of their homes this year. >> reporter: this green valley ranch neighborhood is described as calm and quiet for the most part. but this morning some of them woke up to find this house lit up with police lights with officers going door to door asking for information because a man had been shot. early sunday morning just before 6:00, 911 dispapers received a call of shots fired. >> when officers arrived o suffering from gunshot wounds. >> the victim had been shot more than once which ultimately led to his death. police aren't sure what led up to that shooting. >> our detectives are working to get statements and process the scene over there. >> they're trying to understand why the victim was even at the home. >> it appears that the resident who was shot is not a -- victim

than two weeks away. donald trump and hillary clinton are hot on the campaign trail. today both appeared in battleground states. trump in florida and clinton in north carolina. clinton leads donald trump by 12 points in a new national poll. as expected she criticized trump for calling the election rigged. trump stood his ground in florida. >> it's rigged. it's broken. it's corrupt. they want me to take that back. let me tell you, folks, it's a rigged >> he refused to say that he would respect the results of this election. and that is a threat to democracy. >> a new cbs poll shows that 72% of florida republicans believe trump would win if not for voter fraud. >> millions of americans have already mailed in their ballots. but you can cast your vote in person beginning tomorrow. early voting centers open in all

figure out why the accident happened. >> reporter: a crane was needed to separate a tour bus and tractor trailer on interstate 10 near palm springs california. the bus ploughed into a the back of a truck early sunday morning. >> i've never been to a crash where there's been 13 confirmed fatal accidents. so it's tough. >> a survivor told police most of the passengers had been sleeping at the time of the crash. first responders had to use ladders to reach the victims >> the trailer itself entered about 15 feet into the bus. so you can see that there was a substantial impact. the bus was traveling significantly faster than the tractor trailer when it struck from behind. >> the bus driver was killed. the truck driver is expected to be okay. the bus had been inspected

highway patrol inspectors in 2014, 2015, and as late as april 2016 and no mechanical deficiencies were noted. >> the bus company involved owned one bus and had one driver. >> the bus was heading back to los angeles from a casino in palm springs. the victims identities had not been released. records show the company had a satisfactory rating. >> one of the brothers accused of killing a colorado springs woman is dead. the other is in custody they're suspected of shooting a woman saturday night. it's unclear which of the suspects was killed. >> new tonight sheriff's deputies arrested a wanted man after an early morning standoff. travis medena was arrested for drug possession and violating his bond. early this morning swat teams surrounded a mobile home and told him to come out. he refused he was taken into

him in a crawl space underneath the trailer. tonight firefighters battled a fire at a home. the house suffered significant damage from smoke and water. but no one was hurt. no word on what caused this fire. >> new details on the fire raging southwest of pueblo. that fire is now 50% contained. but firefighters say higher than it very difficult to battle. the fire has now destroyed nine homes and 18 other structures and has burned about 18,000 acres. >> it certainly hurts the credibility going forward if we can't depend on the promises that were made for us when we volume tiered to put our life on the line. >> outrage after p pentagon recalls pay to national guardsman. what they have to say about it

we're following a developing story out of reno nevada that's where a zombie crawl turned deadly early this morning. three people were shot in the downtown area. a 17-year-old girl was killed. two other teens were injured. there's no word on their conditions. detectives have identified no arrests were made. >> the condition of reno with the 24-hour gambling. it doesn't seem to be zombie crawl related. but we are investigating. >> no word yet on a motive for the shootings. >> an out of control car interrupted a church service in florida when it slammed into the building. at least seven people were hurt. the car didn't break through the wall but witnesses say the

avoid another car. >> we was having church this morning. and we heard a loud noise. i thought it was a bomb. and everybody starting flying and went out the church. >> they were celebrating the church's 75th anniversary. the victims should be okay. four people including a young girl being rescued from a capsized boat. it happened yesterday near johns pass in florida. the coast guard found the group clinging to the boat. all of the church. something coast guard officials say was critical to their survival. all are expected to be okay. >> kurdish forces launched a new offensive in mosul today. they've been fighting islamic state forces on the outskirts of mosul to bring forces closer to the city. it's expected to take several months before mosul is reclaimed. and pope francis prayed for peace in iraq in his weekly prayer at the vatican.

innocent victims. he ended the prayer with a call for peace and hope that iraq can build a more hopeful future. >> right now bonuses given to thousands of california national guards members have to be repaid by the members. that's according to to a new report by the la times. nearly a decade ago the u.s. was short on troops fighting the wars in iraq and afghanistan so the california national guard offered soldiers bonuses up to $15,000 to go that money back. >> it certainly hurts the credibility going forward if we can't depend on the promises that were made to us when we volume tiered to put our life on the line -- volunteered to put our life on the line. >> the bonuses were supposed to be limited to soldiers in high demand assignments. the california guard says it has to obey the law and collect the money. >> a retired marine in longmont

monday and tuesday. tonight clear to partly cloudy. we've had high clouds streaming across the state all day long. that high did weaken a little bit today. and it allowed cool air to filter in over the state today. so our temperatures were not quite as warm as yesterday. but way above normal for this year. now we're watching a little batch of moisture from california and nevada coming in and a trough off the western towards the panhandle of oklahoma. that will bring in a little downsloping wind for us. so our temperatures will be a little warmer for broncos sunday. then a another batch making its way across utah during the day. that'll that will slide into colorado into tuesday. and give western colorado a chance of rain and maybe some overnight thunderstorms into tuesday and above 10,000 feet we might see a dusting of snow as well.

employee low. might just see a little drizzle on tuesday morning. that'll be about it. 74 was our high temperature today both at the airport and downtown. about 12 points above normal for this time of year. and a new record which was 87. set in 1973. it's 49 downtown. 56 at the airport. with the south wind at 11. our weather watcher has 56. and here's the future cast into tomorrow. in pretty good shape. but watch the clouds start to develop out west. monday night into tuesday showers maybe, a few thunderstorms out west. tuesday morning there might be a little bit of snow at the higher elevations and for us it'll be cloudy to start the day. maybe a little pocket of drizzle here and there. and then it gets out of here in a big hurry by tuesday afternoon and evening. letting some showers continue on in the mountains. >> overnight temperatures cool

stuck on a two game losing streak for two weeks now. so over a week and a half to think about how they went from cruising along at 4-0 to now looking at their first three game losing streak in five years. they're having issues across the board. offense has really struggling failing to throw a touchdown until the 4th quarter of both losses and the defense h slow starting as well. giving up 1st quarter touchdown drives in five of six games this year. that already equals last year's season total. >> this is an opportunity to get back on the winning track and playing broncos football because we got away from that in the past few weeks. >> the two teams that beat the broncos playing in atlanta today. chargers and falcons and a big
