take highway two. that should be getting moved out of the way and turn the purple green. a trial moves forward this morning as the man accused in the so-called scream bandit robberies takes a big step forward. robberies were a year-ago and violent and fightenning. -- frightening. >> reporter: last week each attorney had a pool of 200 jurors to question and select from. this morning opening arguments are expected to begin. the three people are all facing dozens of charges including robbery, kidnapping and attempted murder. crime spree the three are alleged to have gone on last fall ended with a chase that

testifying is a long one. bank surveillance video shows the suspects entering the bank last fall, robbing it and locking anyone they could grab inside the vault. defense attorneys say it is not clear who the robbers are in the surveillance video because of the mosques. inconsistencies and witness accounts cast doubt on those responsible. the trial is expected to go through live in the jefferson county courthouse cbs 4 news. we are in the final stretch of the campaign as voters are casting ballots in this election. there is another controversy involving e-mails and hillary clinton. >> this is the single biggest scandal since watergate. >> reporter: donald trump this weekend fanning flames of controversy over hillary clinton's private e-mail

time for weather and traffic. happy halloween looking live in denver's tech center. 60 degrees this morning on the final morning of october. that's so far above normal. that's the trend all day long. high temperatures today will be well in the 70s. for trick-or-treating expect 69 at 5:00 p.m. 61 by 7:00. 53 by 9:00 p.m. perhaps breezy in area for trick-or-treating. mild compared to where we are normally at. it moves on halloween once every ten years or so. this will certainly not be one of those years. i want to point out it is cooler in greeley. you are at 37. on the eastern plains a big spread of temperatures. akron 62. limon 38. in the high country we have 40s for most mountain towns. 30 in gunnison. later on today expect 50s and 60s in the high country.

those with partly cloudy skies. tomorrow 65 behind today's front. wednesday the coolest day of the week. highs 60. that's above normal. i'm afraid no chances of rain here for the first week of the new month. good morning. look at this drive southbound coming down into town. this is i-25 and thorton parkway. it is nice and wide opened. that's what we are seeing across the denver metro area we along yosemite near 16th. watch out for that. we have a closure of the eastbound direction of i-76. that should be moved out of the way shortly. you can see the long line of purple. you can take highway two around that. c-470 near ken caryl southbound along the hog back you'll see slowing and on going paving work. great drive along 285 and i-70. beware if you are driving something high and light.

the halloween decorations today. thank you very much. tonight many more young people may be in your neighborhood to trick-or-treat or halloween. this is an important time to enjoy all the fun but also to be safe. here's some tips. >> reporter: trick-or-treating can be fun for kids of all ages. before heading out make sure costumes are fire resistant. test out halloween make- be sure it is nontoxic. fasten reflective tape to kids costumes and bags. children under the age of 12 should be accompanied by a parent or a responsible adult. it is okay to let older kids go out in group. you should plan a route with them and set a time when they should be home. once they hit the streets both kids and caretakers should put

bookers gets his second touchdown in as many weeks. next broncos possession booker going in again. he could not hold on to the ball. chargers would turn that into a touchdown and make it a game again. thompson would get in the end zone at the start of the fourth quarter. broncos get the win. lots of questions for the broncos offense. >> we made enough mistakes to lose two or three games but we found a way to win.
