this is the news on cbs 4 news. happy halloween. 5:30 on this monday october 31st. we are wrapping up this incredibly warm october. >> it truly hasn't felt like a real autumn. alas western getting into -- we are getting into november. after a win at mile high, our big story today how the defense once again helped lead the team to victory. phillip rivers goes down the sidelines for the pick six. we'll have more on the win that keeps the broncos on top of the afc west coming up. >> raiders are next. ashton is talking about wind happening this halloween morn.

metro area this morning. wind gusts up to 30 miles per hour at times today. take a look at our temperatures. right now final morning of october. it is 62 degrees. that's what our weather watcher ron in lone tree is reporting. you can see the wind is gusty in the mountains including winter park. 54 mile-per-hour wind gusts recently. we'll watch the mountain wind gusts. let's check in with joel and see how that's impacting the drive in the high country. >> both wheel if you are heading up into the high country. in town we have an accident in the northbound direction of yosemite. as the rollover accident at 16th causing delays there. >> thank you very much. donald trump is still pulling crowds as he did yesterday in greeley during a broncos game.

people outside. your team is playing right now. reporter: even donald trump seemed surprised he was able to compete for attention with the broncos. >> should we do a little shorter version so you can go home and watch football? he gave them what they wanted speaking for an hour but saying surprisingly little about hillary clinton's e-mails. >> her efforts to conceal those crimes but destroying 33,000 e- mails. >> reporter: outside of the arena protesters chanted as people lined up to get in. dave young, the democratic state representative for the area and donald trump critic. >> his comments are dismissive of people. i think hillary clinton represents the kind of leader that brings people together to

>> the future lies with the dreamers. >> reporter: the race was tightening when news of the new fbi probe broke, coming on the heels of hikes and health insurance rights. donald trump said clinton will double down on obamacare. >> real changes begins with repealing and replacing obamacare. >> reporter: he made a district appeal to voters in weld county. the biggest oil and natural gas producing county in the state. >> we have under our feet so much wealth. n't forget we have $20 trillion. we have to pay it off. i am asking you to dream big, to push for bold change and to believe in a movement powered by the people and by their love of our country. >> reporter: trump told voters

submitting them. in a new poll most voters say they are not swayed by female discovery. 30% say it makes them less likely to back clinton. half of those people lean democratic. the fbi is moving the latest investigation forward. bureau received a search warrant yesterday. investigators reading through thousands of e-mails found on a laptop belonging to anthony weiner. the fbi will determine e-mails are pertinent into the investigation into clinton's private e-mail server. it is unlikely investigators will be able to review the thousands of e-mails and make a determination about their relevance before election day. >> we have to deal with halloween and everybody has costumes. we don't want to ghosts blowing away tonight. >> we certainly don't want that at all. maybe for those light weight ghosts it could be a bit of an issue later on. we are talking wind gusts up to 30 miles per hour in denver.

mountains and also in the foothills. wind gusts possibly over 50 miles per hour at times that situation up in the winter park area. as we look at the metro area it is the foothills. evergreen wind gusts 30 miles per hour. eastern plains 41 miles per hour. partly cloudy skies on top of us. the clouds as well as the wind being caused by a front that's over here in utah and wyoming. as that sweeps through today temperatures will get cooler. but not until it is after trick-or-treat time tonight we start bringing in the cooler weather. we'll be in the 30s tomorrow. 9:00 a.m. 5. 73 at noon. 76 for a high temperature. you can see a happy mummy with this warm forecast. here's joel with a check of traffic. no twists on the roads. this is i-270 and quebec. this is what we see everybody day. which is a lot more volume loading up through commerce

the map. that doesn't mean it is a lonely drive. we are loading up northbound along yosemite. we have a rollover accident at 16th. north of colfax. up into the high country we have been talking about the winds. ashton has been tracking them this morning. not only watch out if you are traveling i-70 along idaho springs to the eisenhower and johnson tunnels. broncos players were not the only ones taking hits at yesterday's . player ran on a defensive coordinator wade phillips on the sideline. shawn is live at sports authority field at mile high with an update on how he is doing and what it means. f0 reporter: good morning. wade phillips expected back at work today. we know he was checked out by doctors yesterday. they said everything looks fine. he was released from the hospital yesterday evening. things are looking better than what we saw yesterday. take a look at this video that shows us what we are talking about here.

gordon ran into phillips while he was on the sideline. he fell to the ground and hit his head. broncos staff carted him off the field and took him to the hospital. coaches and players were all worried for phillips. here's what some of them had to say after the game. f0 >> wade is like my dad. you get a little sentimetal. you can also see a lot of the guys saying now since wade left off. >> reporter: the hit happened the second quarter. the team went on to win the game yesterday. wade phillips back at work today as the team gets ready for the next game against the raiders. >> good to hear. this morning law enforcement officers will have the grim task of searching a

body of a little boy. logan rogers is facing manslaughter charges for the death of the 13-month-old in wyoming. he told investigators he placed the boy's body in the trash in cheyenne. the trash was taken north of greeley. it is not clear how the boy died. it was a halloween party and now two men are dead in a shooting. that happened at a home 43nd avenue near columbine overnight on saturday. >> enough is enough. >> reporter: decorations served as somber reminders sunday morning after a halloween party near 43rd and columbine turned deadly overnight. neighbors say three men were shot outside as they celebrate a young girl's birthday. two of them did not survive. the third remains in critical condition. >> it was unexpected.

year-old terrace ashley, one of the men killed had a lot to live for. >> he was an outstanding young man in his prime. and he was motivated about his future. >> reporter: randall remembers ashley as a shining star in her career development program. >> always on time and well mannered and well-dressed. we saw great potential from terrance. >> reporter: sunday his facebook flooded by ss from friends and family. while police work to track down the suspect the community is asking for peace. >> it has to stop. good lives are being taken. especially african-american men. we don't have anymore lives to give. >> we are waiting word from police on whether they have any known suspects and what might have lead to that shooting. a week long manhunt in oklahoma is over. the search for murder suspect michael vance ended yesterday

more. >> reporter: michael vance was killed sunday night after a police chase and shootout with oklahoma state troopers. on facebook tell his county sheriff posted the manhunt is over and all ellis county deputies are fine. unfortunately one officer was shot and he is one of my best friends. that deputy is expected to be okay law enforcement officers tracked vance down after someone reported seeing his car. >> today at 3:00 this afternoon a farmer in his field. a vehicle that come very close to matching the description of the vehicle we had been looking for. that's what caused us to come together tonight. >> reporter: the massive search for vance began eight days ago after authorities say he killed his aunt and uncle and shot two police officers.

disturbing video from that rampage in new orleans two years ago. this surveillance video shows 63-year-old richard white as he gets to the security check point at the airport. he pulled out wasp spray and a machete after that. he took swings at several people then security check point. he was shot in the thigh and survived but refused medical treatment because of his religious views and died from his injuries the next day. police found six molotov cocktails in his bag. we have new data on one of the most common chronic childhood childhood diseases. american academy of pediatrics advises the best way to manage
