and arizona now. you can see it spinning down here between albuquerque and phoenix. that's the system that will bring snow to the high country starting tonight and small chance for denver and the front range coming up tomorrow. not today. at lunchtime, 65. and how about 71 for the high temperature. we'll take it. will be a beautiful day. we'll check the detailed weekend forecast coming up, but let's check traffic. we have ongoing construction at the lights, that slows things down when you you have stuff going on in the median there. watch out for that. there are no lane closures now in place. we have an accident at i-70 and i-225 not causing delays. a lot of green around there. c-470 south of 285 now out to ken caryl, continuing the paving operations and that's why we're seeing slowing.

an anonymous source tells cbs4 that beyonce will be at a get out the vote event in cleveland tonight. we're learning about a woman being held captive found in north carolina. kayla brown and her boyfriend, missing in august. a tip led investigators to a storage container in south carolina. it's where they found brown. >> it was pretty emotional to say the least, when she was found, especially when she was chained like a dog. >> police are still searching

boyfriend is still missing. a man pointed a laser at copter 4 is in custody. police arrested kenneth carol who apologized and told us he never meant harm. two other pilots reported lasers pointed at them in centennial and greeley and one was a commercial aircraft. it is agt priceless items from fallen soldiers could be gone forever. our jeff todd has the story of a stolen truck, a high speed chase and the damage it caused for a veterans organization. >> happened in the middle of the night and we didn't realize it. >> reporter: her truck looked like this before it was stolen. >> it's sentimental to us. >> reporter: the items belonged to boots route 66.

we went from 65% of colorado being under some stage of drought to more than 90% of colorado being under some stage of drought. more than a quarter of the state is experiencing moderate drought, including the entire denver metro area. we need rain and we have one small chance for seeing rain in the metro area coming up this weekend. it will be tomorrow. but the chance, unfortunately, is pretty small. higher rain chances in southern colorado where they need the rain just as much, but it would be nice to get some in our part of theat temperatures in the 20s for most mountain towns. 40s the western slope. 30s on the eastern plains. greeley is colder, 27 degrees in greeley right now there in weld county. bundle up as you're heading out the door. this afternoon will be pleasant. pretty much state-wide. with the exception of the san juans, we're going to see temperatures topping out in the 50s and 60s from most high country locations and denver area around 70. i mentioned the san juans because we're seeing moisture already move in from the south.

it's sitting along the arizona/new mexico state line. we'll start our futurecast at 9:00 a.m. a few snowflakes in san juan county, and it really ramps up in the southwest part of the state as we get into this evening. rain for durango and pagosa springs. here's 9:00 a.m. tomorrow, most of the moisture still in that part of the the day tomorrow moisture will try to move farther to the north. central mountains could see up to 3 inches of snow, including stretches of i-70 tomorrow. meanwhile, rain for pueblo and trinidad. maybe colorado springs. slight chance for shower in for denver tomorrow. fort collins, greeley i'm afraid that rain chance is near zero for you. today will be beautiful, 71. upper 60s close to 70 for the weekend as we move our clocks
