thank you. cbs news has learned about a potential terror threat for monday ahead of election day. sources say u.s. intelligence has alerted joint terrorism task forces that al-qaida could be planning attacks in new york, texas and virginia, all possible targets. although, no specific locations were mentioned. the sources stress the intelligence is still being assessed and its credibility has not yet been confirmed. but counterterrorism officials were alerted to the of an abundance of caution. more than 1.4 million votes in colorado. the campaigns are hitting our state again. it is a sign colorado is yet again a key battleground state. jamie leary live at the capitol this morning with a closer look. >> reporter: good morning, alan. if you had any doubt that colorado is a crucial swing state, this jam packed schedule

both have a busy three stop tour in colorado today. bill clinton campaigning for his wife this morning in pueblo, followed by afternoon events in denver and fort collins. for carson, he'll make his first stop in colorado springs today, and then he's headed to castle rock, ending the day in aurora. both are zeroing in on colorado hoping to sway young and undecided voters. the rush for the last minute face time comes as the most recent tightening. a university of denver poll released wednesday showed clinton and trump in a dead heat. also taking part in a last- minute campaign stop senator bernie sanders. he'll be in colorado saturday, starting his campaign tour off with a visit in colorado springs, followed by a visit in aurora stumping for hillary clinton. of course, the obvious differences aside, both will be pushing to sway those undecided

container. that's when they found brown. >> it was pretty emotional to say the least, when she was found, especially when she was chained like a dog. she had a chain around her neck. >> police are now searching the property because brown told them there could be more bodies on the property. her boyfriend is still missing. 45-year-old todd coalhappen is now in police custody and facing several charges. priceless items from fallen soldiers could be gone forever. only on 4, our high speed chase and the damage it's caused for a veterans organization. >> happened in the middle of the night and we didn't realize it. >> reporter: bernadette borrego's truck looked a lot like this one before it was stolen. >> it's sentimental to us. >> reporter: the truck was full of items belonging to boot 66. >> we had boots in the truck

military personnel that were killed in iraq or afghanistan that the family had donated to us and those are priceless. >> reporter: this is a recent ceremony boots 66 had to honor lance corporal brandon pearson who died four years ago in afghanistan. it's not known where the memorabilia are, because the truck they were in is still being held as evidence. >> it killed us to lose our truck, but it killed more that the possessions he had in there. there's pictures of fallen heros in there. >> reporter: luke batts and brandon mcintosh are believed to have stolen the truck and picked it apart. >> it's the stuff from the families that they gave of their fallen family members
