>> there's a final push in colorado to pick up support for candidates. we'll hear from both sides as we're just a day away from the presidential election. and good morning, it's 46 degrees outside. cbs4, we have another sunny day on the way. we'll check our extended forecast for any chance for rain or snow. it's coming up. plus we're following an accident now southbound along i-25 at yale. we'll take a look at the backups in a bit, britt. we'll start with is attorney general has died. janet reno passed away at the age of 78. in her career, she ordered federal agents to storm the branch compound in waco, texas led by david, and that ended with the deaths of 80 people. she also ordered the seizure of gonzalez, a little boy taken from his home in little havana and returned to his father in cuba. reno's grand daughter says reno died

a former surgical technology accused of stealing painkillers and spreading fear of disease will get his sentence. this comes nearly ten months after he got caught. cbs4 jaime leary live as we follow the case. jaime, how are? >>reporter: i'm good, alan. this morning, rocky alan will appear before a judge. she's pled not -- sorry, he plead guilty, i should say to all charges back in july and at that point in time, the judge determined he wasn't a flight risk so he has b go free on bond until his sentencing this morning, so this morning, will likely be his last morning of freedom. the case prompted a multi state health scare. swedish medical fired alan at the beginning of the year for swapping needles with used ones after stealing get noel. the patients were warned

hiv. patients were offered hiv and hepatitis b free test. he was fired from arizona, california, and washington urging patients to be tested. alan's lawyer said he started using drugs while he was serving as a navy medic in afghanistan. this morning, alan could be sentenced to a maximum of 14 years in prisonnd he'll appear here for sentencing at 9:00. downtown denver, jaime leary, cbs4 morning news. >> election days are tomorrow and -- cbs4 shawn chitnis is live from the capital with a closer look. >>reporter: we continue to see signs from both campaigns that they consider coloradan important part of their plan to win on tuesday.

see important people through colorado again today. now, over the weekend, we actually saw donald trump himself in town at a late night rally in denver, that was saturday night. and he got hundreds of people to show up after waiting in line for hours. it was one of many stops he made that day and he continues to visit multiple states and holds several events each day. meantime, hillary colorado. he'll speak at a couple of events in boulder and the other in jefferson county. we talked to local leaders from both campaigns telling us they're going to do whatever they can in this final day and a half to get the state a win for their candidate. >> we tried to balance some of the other areas around denver and around colorado that are more strongly read. >> we're try to go reach out to

trying to reach out to people who have not turned in ballots who say they support trump. >> the deadline to mail in your ballot has passed. you need to take it to a drop off location or vote in person. live at the state capitol, shawn chitnis, cbs4 morning news. >> thank you, sean. it's cooler. >> a jacket is necessary. there's a chill in the area, but it's 15 degrees warmer than what we normall here as we approach the middle of november. sun up at 6:35. a big change from where we were last week with the time change over the weekend. the storm system that was over colorado this weekend, the storm responsible for a few snow showers in the mountains, it's all east of us now. nebraska, down into oklahoma and texas, find this system, high pressure builds in starting today and this ridge of high pressure will stay in place for a long time. we'll talk more about that

the forecast for today, mostly sunny skies. we'll be at 50 at 9:00, and 60 at noon and a high of 63. let's check the traffic, he'll joel hillan. >> we mentioned an accident southbound at yale. it's off to the far right side. you have the police present. the nice part is we have light volumes this part of the morning. it's picking up. if that sticks around for the next quarter hour, we could see slowing approaching colorado approa across the denver-metro area, we see a lot green. the broncos played the saints on cbs4, but yesterday it wasn't what we wanted right. the broncos went to oakland and tied for tie in the afc west and they return in third. it was a disappointing performancing and ending to this game. the raiders were up 6-0 when derek carr headed the ball to murray and he was able to get that ball

13-0 hole. trevor siemian and the broncos tried to mount a couple back. he boot legs and finds jordan norwood for a 36-yard touchdown pass, but the broncos get sloppy and they let this slip away. siemian fumbles the ball and raiders win 30-20. >> all right, the broncos are beaten up and sore over that loss to oakland. they sit in third place behind oakland and saints in new orleans next sunday. the broncos will get another chance at the raiders on january 1st in denver. mark haas has the reaction to the players who are not happy about the defeat. >>reporter: broncos came to the east -- they leave now in third place trailing the raiders and the chiefs. and they leave with a list of problems to correct. on defense, another slow start giving up more than points in

rushing defense -- giving up over 200 yards for the raiders and for the offense, not much going tonight. they ran the ball 12 times. just not enough offense. broncos like i said, trailing two teams and they were quick to remind us that championships are not won in november. >> they didn't win no championship. they don't have go lombardi. they won the game, we'll see you next time. >> you guys have hadw >> i don't know. ask coach wade. i don't know brother. we got to get to the drawing board and see what coaches are saying what's going on and we have to fix it. >> anytime you lose, you're going to be upset, but we got a lot left on the line. it's not like we won a championship or they won a championship today. there's a lot of football left to play, and we got to get back to business and get back to -- try to get a road win next weekend in new orleans. >> how did the team respond? >> they responded great.

welcome back everyone. the october surprise that rocked the clinton campaign is followed by an an 11th hour, november surprise that may help her out. the fbi now confirms clinton will not face charges related to her private e-mail server. reid bennion has the story. >>reporter: we have -- >>reporter: jennifer reacting to sunday's news about clinton's private e-mail server. james comey sending a new letter to congress saying that his company is sticking -- it comes after comey's letter to congress ten days ago saying the fbi found new e-mails that could be pertinent to the probe. trump criticizing the fbi's handling of the matter.

in the case of a pueblo police officer accused of sexual assault. this happened after a woman called police for help in a domestic violence case. benjamin admitted to having contact with that woman while filling out paperwork. body camera video shows the officer having a sexual conversation with the alleged victim. and the camera was turned off. he's now on administrative leave. time now fours. good morning, ashton. >> good morning to you, britt . hi, alan, i hope you had a terrific weekend as we talked about last week. it was the longest weekend of the year with the time shift. 69 was our high on saturday. 67 was our high yesterday. today, we'll be the coolest day of the week most likely with a high of 60 degrees. that's almost ten degrees above normal for this time of year. tomorrow, we

should be the warmest day of the week. 40 degrees at cbs4. the sun up at -- 46 in greeley and 39 in fort collins. a jacket is necessary as we get this new week started. 20 for mountain towns. in the high country, expect 40s and lower 50s. chaffy county, and salida, 61. 64 for the high temperature we'll call it mostly sunny today today. a storm system that was here over the weekend moving into the middle of the country from nebraska down to texas where they have rain around dallas fort worth. for us, high pressure starts to build back in today. this ridge of high pressure will stay in place all the way through the end of this week, and through the upcoming weekend. by sunday, there could be a slight chance of seeing snow in the mountains. between now and then it looks basically dry state wide.

with sunshine of the tomorrow, 65 with nothing but sun for election day, and then 70s wednesday. 60s for thursday, friday. here's joel. good morning, and we got a trouble spot already this morning, southbound along i-25. this is at yale. it's off to the far right shoulder. you can see, i don't know, it looks like the wheel shouldn't be there. as you head southbound along i-25, that's going to slow you down a bit. we're starting to see a little more volume out there, so it's backing up a little bit as folks make their way to the left to get out of slow you down too bad. add ten seconds to your drive this morning. you may have to disengage the cruise control. across the denver-metro area, good drive times from the east. along parker road, speeds into the 40s both a directions along i-70, seeing speeds into the 50s and 60s from i-25 to i-225. alan. thanks joel. a historic muse sim has a new home after slowly inching through denver.

as they have entered the longest losing street. here's our money watch. >>reporter: investors are awaiting the outcome of tuesday's presidential election. a solid u.s. jobs report on friday failed inform call. on wall street the dow dropped 42-points and the nasdaq lost 12. samsung is recalling nearly 3 million top load washing machines in the u.s. the move follows reports of injs causing by the machines detaching during use. the south korean company is offering repairs and rebate and refunds. this is the latest blow to samsung after recalling its galaxy smartphone following reports of over heat and fires. need a ride to the polls. zip car is offering members free access to 7,000 cars on election night. you can see up on

murray goes up the middle for a one yard touchdown. he had 3:00 last night. raiders up 13-0. broncos offense had four straige and outs to start the game on their fifth position. 4th quarter, siemian trying to make a couple back. that's not going to help. get sacked, fumbles, oakland would recover. murray would put oak land up 30-13. broncos finally got a spark i bibs goes 69 yards on the catch and run. broncos fall 30-20. >> it hadn't happened -- we got to go back, look at the film and figure out ways to get us started faster even if that's getting the ball out of our hands quicker or getting the ball into the play maker's hands. we have to do something to get the spark going.

they'll travel to new orleans next week.,, ,, scott tipton -- our congressman? or is he a real-estate agent for big-money campaign contributors? tipton sponsored a bill to give away our public lands to his out-of-state donors. over 30 colorado business leaders called tipton's plans, "a serious threat to the outdoor recreation industry and...thousands of jobs."

shawn chitnis is live from the capital with who is in colorado today. good morning, sean. >>reporter: good morning, candidates are taking -- they're sending important supporters here to get out that vote with a day left to go here. donald trump himself here over the weekend having a late night rally in denver. he brought in hundreds of people who were willing to wait in line for hours to see him speak. that was just one of manyto made. he continues to visit multiple states and holds several events each day. clinton is sending former vice president al gore to events. we had a chance to talk to volunteer and staff members from both campaigns here in colorado. they tell us they want to make sure they have no regrets after this is said and done, and they are having to convince some people to even just participate in this election. >> at the end of the day when i know that come tuesday, i did
