shawn. a lot of work happening as well as volunteers trying to do what they can to get those candidates in the white house. we saw donald trump right here in colorado just over the weekend at a late night rally. those were waiting to be apart of that event. it was many stops he made that day. he continues states and holding several events each day. for clinton, she's sending former vice president al gore to colorado. he's going to speak at two events today. one in boulder and the other in jefferson county. we got a chance to hear from the local leaders of the campaigns here. they talked a little bit about their strategies going into tuesday. >> we try to balance some of the other areas around denver and around colorado that are more

as you get to 84th blocking off the left lane. and you can see four cars involved and you have the traffic stacked up behind them. we're seeing big delays because of this, and the police have not arrived on scene. when they do, they'll most likely block off that left lane and maybe the center right lane as well. and then we would see traffic getting by on the right side. a mess with speeds already down into the teens behind us. we can see that going into the single digits. we're going times continue to tick up as we get through the next quarter hour. as we go up and over, we're watching another accident, westbound along i-76 closed as you get out of sterling. you'll have to use highway 6 to get around that. if you're about to get in your car and you need the latest weather and traffic information, you can turn to our

radio. randy -- there's earthquake damage in oklahoma. the 5.0 quake struck last night. police blocked off the downtown area of cushioning. debris fell into the streets. nearby schools are closed. oklahoma has had 19 earthquakes over the past week. scientist linked them to the injection of waste water back into the earth during the fracking process. no damage reported from magnitude 3.1 earthquake in weld county here in colorado where f also common activity. it happened yesterday morning in kersey east of greeley. dozens of people reported feeling that earthquake. happening this morning, a judge will sentence a former surgical technician for stealing painkillers and putting others at-risk with infections. jaime leary has this story. >>reporter: good morning, britt. it's winding down to the last --

charges and then being released on bond. rocky alan will face a judge this morning to be sentenced. this case is pretty hard to believe. alan was fired from swedish medical center at the beginning of the year for stealing phytanoyl needles and swapping the clean needles for his used ones and using them on patients. to top it off, he tested positive for hiv this summer. nearly 3,000 patients were relayed as potential victims for hiv and hepatitis b. before he was hired he was fired from hospitals in california, washington. fortunately as of now, there have been no reports of disease transmission. because of this case just this year, the legislature passed a law to require surgical technicians and -- they have to submit fingerprints. rocky alan

and a $500,000 fine. >> jaime, thank you for that . a denver museum has a new home this morning after sort of inching its way through denver. the work is far from over. crews moved the 150-ton vance kirkland studio yesterday from 13th and pearl to 12th and bannock and the process took a whooping 13 hours. workers moved the building on sets of remote conle this week for water line work. one is happening on lincoln from virginia to alameda and crews are closing -- the museum scheduled to reopen next fall. the broncos sits third. the chiefs in second and raiders in first. the tough games are not over. up next come the saints

they have a lot of momentum after stomping the 49ers yesterday. 41-23. the broncos have some work to do this week. a whole bunch of work. the team continues to struggle early on. here's mark haas with reaction from the players. >>reporter: denver broncos tame to oak land with first place in the afc west on the line. they leave now in third place trailing the raiders and the chiefs. and they leave with a list of problems to correct. on defense, another slow start giving up more first quarter. and the rushing defense -- gave up over 200 yards for the raiders and for the offense. not much going on. they ran the ball 12 yards and not enough offense. they were playing from behind the whole night. broncos trailing two teams and they were quick to remind us that championships are not won in november. >> it doesn't matter. they didn't win no championship.

this was sent by erma. it's -- spectacular view there p in estes park with those clouds moving across the yair. i shared this with you last week, i wanted to bring it back up. last time we had measurable precipitation, it was october the 12th. it has been three and a half weeks. the last time we had substantial precipitation, a quarter inch or more was four and a half months ago. day. we're going to go another two weeks before we have any decent chance for seeing measurable precipitation. temperatures in the 20s in the mountains. 40s for many areas along the front range. and 36 degrees at cbs4. temperatures in the 60s along the front range and 50s later on today for most mountain towns. a few clouds overhead as we get

the rain is in the middle of t country making its way east. dallas fort worth seeing rain. rain in oklahoma city, wichita towards minneapolis. here in the west, a big ridge of high pressure is dominating our weather and with the ridge in place, it sends the jet stream further north. this pattern will stay in place until around november 20th or about two weeks from now. that's when the ridge may start to break down, and we could be looking at a series of storm systems moving into colorado. not until then. today. beautiful for election day. 65 with sunny skies. wednesday will be the warmest day of the week with a high of 72. let's check the traffic. here's joel. good morning , ashton. not a good morning on the roadways. this is a look southbound along i-25 at 84th where we have a traffic alert we're following. look at the police along here, so we have four cars involved in this accident. there's spill age on the highway. that needs to be cleaned up and it's going to take a while to get moved out. more flashing lights on the ramp. so you're not able to

84th right now due to this car which i don't know if it's stalled or it's pulled over. we have heavy police presence along here. when the fire truck comes, my guess is they're going to block off this left lane and they may be doing that already as we see on the cdot camera. that allows two lanes. are they able to cleanup everything and get it moved out. it looks like there's something in the center right lane and if that happens you're down to one lane in heart of the rush hour. speeds into the teens. a 30-minute drive from thornton to denver. westbound along i-76 okay right now. we do have an -- once you get south of that, look at the green we have. that means we're at or near posted speed limits. i'm going to take you over and near the town of sterling and you can see just to the west of that, we have westbound i-76 which is closed due to an accident. i would recommend guys taking u.s. six to get around that. >> joel, thank you so much.

markets are reacting before the election. jill wagner is live at the new york stock exchange. okay, jill, give us the update. good morning. >>reporter: good morning, britt. we could be in a for a relief rally today. stock futures are sored and the fbi finish theired reveal of clinton e-mails and stands by its decision not to file criminal charges. uncertainty that the election sends stocks -- on dow fell 42-points and the nasdaq dropped 12. futures are pointing to a higher open. the gas pipeline that exploded a week ago in alabama is reopened. one worker was killed. four others were hurt. that pipeline runs north from the gulf coast and its shut down push gas prices higher. samsung is recalling 3 million washer machines in the united states

this morning, oklahoma city up into wichita kansas. for the western part of the country, a big ridge of high pressure is now redeveloping. the jet stream has been sent further north than it normally is. this is going to be the pattern for the next seven to 14 days. we don't see this ridge of high pressure breaking down until the 20th of november. so that's two weeks from yesterday. so it's going to be a while, so as long as this ridge of high pressure is on top of us, we're talking dryer and warmer than normal weather. you can see that in our five-day forecast. 63 with sunshine. tomorrow, 65 for election day. wednesday is the warm day with 72. upper 60s for the middle of the week including veteran's day on friday. let's check the roads with joel. >> i-25 at 84th, this is the traffic alert we're following. you're going to notice a couple of things. there's an accident off the center left lane and the least lane as well. we have the ramp to get onto southbound i-25

well. it looks like we have new flashing lights as police make their way back down in here, but this is just a tough drive. take a look at these drive times. >> speeds dipping into single digits. 45 minutes from thornton to denver. head south to get around that. southbound along i-225 heavy. we're seeing northbound along i-225 as well starts the approach to alameda and goes back to mississippi. and it's starting to slowdown approach to i-25, but i want to take you out because we have westbound i-76 which is shut down just to the west of sterling, i would take highway 6 to get around that. >> joel, thank you. good news for people in philadelphia. trying to get to work and school, the transit strike is over this morning. about 4700 employees walked off the job early a week ago. the union and the transit agency

weekend. it wasn't enough to make a major difference. keystone set to open this upcoming friday and snow basin already open. there's a lot of snow at the top of run away lift. cu -- 60s up and down the front range. 60s on the eastern plains. it will be breezy on the eastern plains today as the storm system that was here over the weekend makes its way to the east of us. you can see a lot of country, but for us, high pressure is now dominating our weather once again and that will mean unseasonably warm and dry weather not only through this week, but for the next two weeks and we don't see this weather pattern changing until november 20th. so maybe that week of thanksgiving and then going into early december, we could finally start to see more fall and winter-like weather. today, 63 with sunshine. tomorrow is election day. high 65 with sunny skies.
