difference? >> pro pot groups move ahead. >> we will have marijuana on roof tops and on patios. searching a landfill for evidence months after a young woman in littleton went missing. now, it could take weeks or longer. the investigators are trying to solve the disappearance of charlotte. cbs 4 is live in commerce tonight. it is a grim operation. >> reporter: grim and daunting. they are looking for anything that could be connected to this case without being specific. they did say that it could include her remains. >> reporter: after months of searching for any sign of 36- year-old shar lean voyit littleton police say their investigation has led them

and began sifting,an ice lated area of the commerce city landfill. >> we are looking for anything related to this case if it is evidence in the case, evidence in her disappearance or it could possibly be her remains. >> reporter: she had just recently moved to colorado to be closer to her boyfriend, jeff byer. in july her family would report her missing. her car was then found in a dirt lot owned by byer and used to store roll off containers. not far from the couple's apartment where saw the detectives collecting evidence. >> headboard, nightstand, pieces of furniture. >> reporter: a number of court documents obtained by cbs 4 at the time revealed a rocky relationship between the two. in 2012, he filed for a restraining order claiming she was scared for her life and slapped, choked, dragged. >> we feel like we owe it to

in the second trial e. developing tonight, planning for another major cleanup effort. city crews will be clearing out illegal homeless camps lining the sidewalks again tomorrow. bush live at 22nd tonight. so, stan, here we go again, huh? >> reporter: and, jim, the city did not return phone calls on this today. earlier in the year they said they were planning on a sweep when they deemed it necessary. clearly that time is now. this homeless camp had growing for months. it has been making people nearby angry. tomorrow, all swept up. >> reporter: the city says the massive homeless camp hit with the homeless camps downtown is a public health hazard. >> people lost their job, their home, no place to go. that is why these people are sleeping like this. >> tuesday, the same operation

bedroom for months. they cleared this block but over time, people returned. >> he is coming back here because the reality -- the ones that do not fit in and not fit in with the others to avoid violence and fights just rather be out here. >> reporter: earlier this year the city officials said they knew the homeless camp downtown was a problem but little they could do about it. now, they say the sweep will just push the homeless to another part of downtown. >> i think after but then again, when they push them that way that is where i park for work any ways. it is kind of weird to walk home. >> enough beds to house the homeless here. according to the road home most of the people camping in the streets are actively refusing services. >> i think as a city we hopefully are acting in a responsible manner. >> now, the city does hope that
