and miguel sanders guilty on most of the dozens of counts they were facing including attempted murder and kidnapping. sentencing will come later. we have more breaking news as police investigate a murder in a quiet denver neighborhood. a man's body was found inside of this home here. the investigation started early this morning near the sunny side neighborhood. now police have arrested this man. his name is robert moore, jen, you also have breaking news on the victim. >> reporter: yeah, that's right, karen. we were just given the victim's name. the man that was killed in this homicide, his name is zac chavez. he's 35 years old. people woke to cop cars, flashing lights and this home surrounded by crime tape. valerie said officers also

investigation began. >> they said it was a shooting inside the house and that we were safe in the neighborhood and not to worry. >> reporter: denver police were focused on this tire shop at first, then the investigation shifted to the house across the street where crime labs and detectives have been all day. angela dur an owns a business nearby. she's also lived in the neighborhood her whole life and says the home has a reputi a lot of boozers and users live there. >> renters. a lot of people coming in and out of the house with a few consistent faces. >> reporter: the shooting happened overnight. >> i'm just sorry it happened period. i just hope it -- that they do find the people. for something like this to deter the people from this neighborhood is a bad thing. >> reporter: now, police also say that the victim who died in the situation was transported to the hospital in a private

hospital that he died of the gunshot wounds. live in denver, cbs4 news. now to our weather alert tonight. get ready for another frigid night ahead. all of the snow that remains from yet's storm. >> cold start to the weekend. >> it's going to get chilly tonight. you're going to want lots of layers as you head out. wednesday, we outside. this morning we hit 14 degrees. we dropped to 14 degrees. that is a big time change for us. 66 degrees change in just 38 hours and we only hit the low 30s today. it was our coldest temperature -- one of the coldest temperatures we've had since march 18th. some areas are just a touch warmer than yesterday this time. we're actually one degree

sailing here at dia. for those in united airlines, they've been seeing significant delays and cancellations. some saying it was a nightmare because the airline left them stranded. >> reporter: for kimy and her husband they're still here in denver. >> instead of leaving at 7:00, it was to leave at 8:00, then at 9:00 and at 10:00 it disappeared. >> reporter: that's because - handle the storm. united airlines blames a third party company. >> they only had one de-icer working. we stood in line for three hours and when we got up, if was a nightmare. >> reporter: no flight connection was possible so they had no other option than to wait for today, paying for a hotel out of their own wallets. >> it was just a quirk we could

was booked. >> reporter: dia was beautiful but possibly the worst ran airport. a united captain described it as the longest de-icing problem of his career. >> i want to make sure i'm in at a reasonable hour because my family's going to pick me up and i don't want them to be up at all hours. >> reporter: earlier, one pa their plane for three hours waiting to take off. they were then taken to their gate, let off and then taken back on to the plane where they waited another hour. as for the passenger bill of rights, that procedure was perfectly legal. >> not even much of a storm. a wyoming man accused of

plead guilty to manslaughter. despite searching -- the mother's boyfriend, 23 year old logan rogers now facing up to 20 years in prison. he said he dumped the boy's body in the trash bin after he died after falling off of a counter. prosecutors say the men from alabama failed to properly put out a fire while camping illegally in nederland summer. those flames grew, became the cold springs wildfire which destroyed homes and burned 500- acres. zackary ryan kuykendall and [ indiscernible ] were -- they will spend their nights in jail. new information on a deadly house fire in aurora. investigators say the fire was an accident caused by an electrical problem.

ahead of tomorrow's lift off. sounds like a major upgrade to the technology we use now. >> reporter: it certainly is, jim. scientists, meteorologists, engineers have been working decades to put together what is going to happen this weekend. the gozar satellite is going to dramatically transform weather casting. the last few yards of the gozar getting to the launch pad was slow, steady task. but the rocket and its pay load is in position and ready to go. >> got a bit of a late start but that won't hold us up tomorrow at all. it's out at the pad now. >> reporter: the satellite is expected to be a game-changer in the world of watching and forecasting weather. >> three times the number of optical channels.
