few curve balls our way. part of what makes it very exciting to live here. the city behind me looks beautiful tonight. but, if you are headed out on the town, you are going to have to bundle up. let me take you back to wednesday. look at this when we recorded a high of 80 degrees. that was a record for the date. tied the all-time warmest nor november and the latest 80 in the denver climate record. and we plummeted down 14 degrees. that is where we started this morning for our low. one of the coldest temperatures we have had to go all the way back the march to be that cold. a 66-degree drop in about 38 to 40 hours. just an incredible swing. back out here live, we are sitting at just above freezing. 32 degrees. look at this barometric pressure. 30.39. that is very, very high. part of why we will have the cold night. clear skies, lit toll no wind. fresh snow. that is the recipe for

now to new development ins the lawsuit surrounding trump university. donald trump will pay $25 million to settle three lawsuits. two of them are class action. more than 150 students said the real estate investment courses at trump university were fraud. pushed them into debt. attorneys for the plaintiffs say the settlement will allow them all to get their money back. lawyers for donald trump say that the settlement will allow him to devote his full attention to the challenges now facing the nation. >> that's right. the president-elect working on cbs4's kenneth craig checking in from new jersey. we are getting a better idea of what the administration is going to look like. >> reporter: we sure are, jim. but the president-elect has made it pretty clear, he is not overly interested in carrying tout process in public. at least not this weekend. a few hours ago, we watched as his motorcade pulled into this luxury golf club behind the row

much of the press. vice president-elect mike pence says he is thrilled with the team president-elect trump is building. >> we have a great number of men and women with great deal qualifications coming forward. >> reporter: friday, the president-elect announced alabama senator jeff sessions as his first pick to be attorney general. mr. trump also tapped retired general michael flynn as his national security adviser. and kansas. >> he is doing the great job of looking for the best talent he can find. >> reporter: after spending most of the week at trump tower, the president-elect is spending the weekend here in the golf club in new jersey where he will continue his high level meetings. his first choices are not without controversy. general flynn once referred to islam as a cancer and tweeted in february that fear of muslims is rational.

weekend. back in the 60s by sunday. let's take a look now. you can see clear skies. this whole different picture than we saw last night when it was so slow going as the rain, the snow, starting to freeze. the clear sailing now. and keystone opened up today. look at the crowd they had up there. a beautiful day. and copper mountain is open. they were running the snow guns. that is how they had the snow and more snow from yesterday and they were skiing and had a great time as clear skies. that storm system has left our area. and it is now in up ther great lakes with the snow ahead of it showers and thunderstorm as the cold air crashes into the warm moist gulf air that comes up. you can see high pressure holding for us. that means pretty good shape now. can we rest very long with the nice sunny skies and calm conditions? we have another system moving in. let's go to lauren whitney in the coloradowet ere center. >> that is coming our way. it may be early next week that we see that impact us.

the midwest saw a lot of snow. blizzard warnings. high pressure takes over for the weekend and we stay warm and dry. we will warm back up to the 50s and like ed said, back to the 60s on sunday. we will not get back to the 80s . it will not be hot, but lit be warmer. this system off to the west. probably monday, monday night into the mountain areas, we will see that stick around through tuesday. looking at the long range snow models, this is the gfs. it does some pretty heavy snowfall in the high country and some of that headed into the denver area. maybe south of denver. taking a look at temperature to night, it will be very cold behind this storm system. 13 in craig. a lot of teening and single digits. 16 in denver tonight. 11 in greeley.
