horizons and the neighborhood transportatio n service to make that happen. n-t-s will provide one bus route for those students. the district hopes to expand the program since they say it means more to students than you may think. "it's always optimal to help our homeless students not feel different or isolated from their peers. so giving them a chance to still ride the bus, even though they might be living in a hotel or in a shelter or at a transitional housing - i think is just a way to help them normalize the experience. the district says it will pay n-t-s 170 dollars a day for the ten students who are in this new program. that will create a savings because the cabs cost 300 dollars a day... 30-dollars for each student. in des moines, a handful of homeless men will see their own handy work on display tonight for the first time. drake university students gave about a dozen homeless people disposable cameras - and told them to document their lives. it's part of a larger exhibition examining globalization. the homeless said they were happy to be heard and seen.

homelessness in everyone's eyes is a terrible thing so it struck me how eager they were to show everyone they exist in other ways." the homeless men will get the sneak peak tonight, but exhibit opens to the public on sunday at the anderson gallery at drake. the university of iowa has decided to increase its minimum wage to match the county's hike. johnson county's minimum wage will eventually be 10-10 an hour, but that will come in increments. on november 1st, johnson county implemented its first wage increase to 8- 20 an hour. the university says the increase will help the school stay competitive for recruiting and retaining student employees. the u-i hasn't said if it will follow the next county increase. republican presidential candidate chris christie will be speaking to voters in cedar falls. he is scheduled to speak at a town hall at j's homestyle cooking. it starts at 8 this morning and goes until 10. this is the

first time the new jersey governor is back in blackhawk county since july. the three democratic presidential candidates will converge on iowa tomorrow for their second debate. drake university in des moines is hosting saturday night's debate. it'll feature four moderators... .... who'll question hillary clinton, bernie sanders, and martin o'malley. people will also submit questions using twitter. organizers say this is the first time twitter is officially taking part in a presidential debate. one person who'll also be on a special voter panel says the format will show how candidates think on their feet. and he says their answers could help him decide who he'll support. " it would take something significant but i always try to go into caucus season with an open mind." a new c-b-s / new york times poll shows hillary clinton well ahead of the other candidates going into the debate. she has 52 percent support while sanders is second with 33 percent. sanders just received his

to send about 50 special ops forces into syria. he called the number ridiculous, saying if the president is committed to fighting isis, he should send more troops. travelers using the eastern iowa airport might be a little confused this morning. ahead of the holiday travel season, construction crews are moving things around as part of a 50 million dollar renovation. tv-9's forrest saunders is live at the airport this morning. forrest, what are they moving today? well, ashley and nicole, today they've moved the entire ticketing counter. it's now located here in a temporary area. this is part of phase two of project two of the airport terminal remodel. it's started this fall and is scheduled to continue into the spring of 2016. included in the work, 3 new

100-thousand people are expected to pass through the gates at kinnick stadium throughout the day. every hotel room in johnson county is booked, and you can expect some traffic delays. dogs from all over the country will be splashing into dubuque today. the dockdogs world championships is going on in dubuque. it's a nation-wide dog- jumping aquatics competition, and events go until sunday. this is video from a smaller competition in coralville this summer. events include big air, extreme vertical, and speed retrieval. competitions start every morning at 9 at the five flags center. a dubuque county community will soon have a new coffeehouse. the asbury city council voted to sell a former one-room schoolhouse to two people from dubuque. they don't have a time frame for when the coffeehouse would open. a nonprofit group withdrew a proposal to preserve the 170-year-old structure as a community arts and learning center. the u-s defense authorities believe a

the hit..they believe he is dead the vehicle he was in burst into flames and one official said jihadi john essentially evaporated. stephanie ramos abc news washington the united kingdom's prime minister, david cameron, says this morning he is not certain if the airstrike was successful. new details are coming out in the case of the unarmed, handcuffed man who died in police custody in virginia in 2013. according to court records, linwood lambert called 9-1-1 at about 3 am. police finally found him, handcuffed him and took the 46-year-old to the hospital. when they parked at the hospital, lambert kicked out the window and runs into the emergency room door. that's when officers tased him. the logs show the three officers used their tasers 21 times over the next 16 minutes. then officers put him back in the car and took him to the jail. "it looks like he stops breathing while he's positioned in the car in front of the hospital." " lambert told police at the time
