"dancing with the stars," who was sent home setting the stage for tonight's big show and the moment that moved the judges to tears. and we do say good tuesday morning, everyone. authorities are sounding the alarm after a month of deadly terror attacks. >> there are growing concerns about terror organizations and their possible plans during the busy holiday week. here are new developments overnight. a joint bulletin issued by the fbi and homeland security saying terror groups could try to replicate the effects of the paris attacks. >> the state department issuing a worldwide travel alert because of terror threats, and right now the terror dragnet in brussels paralyzing the country for a fourth straight day there in belgium, and it could last another week. abc's stephanie ramos is live with the details this morning in d.c.

stephanie, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, kendis and reena. the state department is -- they say they're not telling americans not to travel around the world but to be vigilant. if you@plan on traveling this holiday season, a new warning for you in the wake of recent deadly attacks in paris, mali and egypt. the state departmentssuing an uncommon worldwide alert d to increased terrorist threats. >> we are and we continue to be and we have been concerned about copycat-like attacks. >> reporter: the state department says "current information suggeses isil and other teteorist groups continue totolan terrorist attacks in multiple regions. these attacks may employ a variety of tactics using conventional and nonconventional weapons," proof that isis is not giving up, promising attacks in this propaganda video showing images of new york city's times square. the city in turn stepping up its police presence. as this heightened alert remains global today, president obama is set to meet with french president francois hollande, but

with brusssss police officers seeing the city under siege. >> reporter: this whole city is on lockdown. i mean, everywhere you go you see police officers with masks, machine guns. >> yes, yes. >> reporter: army. >> yes. >> that high alert will remain in place until next week, but schools, public transportation and government o@fices in brussels will begin to open again tomorrow. we've got some breaking news that is coming in from turkey where the military says it has shot down a russian plane, and now we're getting reports that russia is confirming that report. turkey says the russian jet violatat its airspace near t t syrian border. the early reports that we're getting say the two pilots parachuted to safety. russia, of course, has been conducting air strikes in syria since september. this morning donald trump is doubling down on his statement that he saw on television muslims in new jersey lebrating the 9/11 attacks. he says he's received hundreds of calls and tweets in recent days from people who told him that they eyewitnessed the scenes that he described, and he

attacks. the lawsuit indicates that it violates the equal protection clause of the constitution because indiana accepts refugees from other countries. well, breaking overnight, % four crew members are dead after a helicopter crash at the ft. hood range in texas. military officials say the helicopter was on a routine training mission. an investigation to determine the cause of the csh is under way. the names of the deceased have not been released. and we're following more breaking news from minneapolis where five protesters have been shot overnight near ongoing demonstrations over the fatal shooting of a black man by a police officer. witnessesesay the shooters were part of a white supremacist group with at least one wearing a mask. when protesters tried to herd them away from the scene, the shooting broke o. none of the injuries we're told believededo be life-threateninin well, the weather not doing any favors to those flying to or from the west coas there's a look at the radar. a storm system moving into california, oregon and washington. we're talking g to a foot of snow expected in the sierra nevada. more from accuweather's molly

mountain snow further inland. up to a foot in some areas. >> given all that, no surprise that if you're flying, airport delays possible in san francisco and los angeles. in indiana two men arrested for the murder of a young pastor's wife are due in court this morning. >> the crime two weeks ago shocked the country. officials say it was part of a string of burglaries in indianapolis that day. pastor davey blackburn had left the front door unlocked when he went to the gym. amanda blackburn was 13 weeks pregnant. her 15-month-old son who was in the home was unharmed. police are also investigating whether another man was involved. davey blackbururwill talk about the arrest later this morning on "good morning america." there's also been an arrest for another headline-grabbing crime, this one in new orleans.. medical student peter gold was shot when he says he saw a woman being dragged down the street and stopped to help. the crimes were caught on surveillance video. gold remains in guarded condition after being shot in the stomach. the mayor says gold has a difficult recocory ahead. and take a look at this video. the man that you see here dressed as darth vader is now

charged with armed robbery and other counts after attempting a holdup at a florida convenience ore. he demanded money from the clerk. you see that, the ranch dressing, that's what they used to fight him off, not a lightsaber. the guy was identified by a neighbor who clearly recognized his face. well, a utah couple is going public with an incredible health crisis. their 8-year-old daughter has breast cancer. it started with a lump and was later confirmed by tests. third grader chrissy turner is scheduled to have surgery next month. her case is being closely watched by cancer specialists around the world. >> it is a very rare form of breast cancer r at -- it's called secretory carcinoma, and only 1 in 1 million are diagnosed, and she's the youngest that they had run across having this particular type of breast cancer. >> and incredibly the unfortunate news, this isn't the first bout for the family with cancer. mom annette is a cervical cancer survivor.
