short beard. if you have any information, call west liberty police at 319-627-2223. in a tv-9 follow-up this morning.. an illinois man who robbed a dubuque credit union is in custody thanks to surveillance and traffic cameras. police arrested 28 year old shawn cade junior of rock island, illinois, on a second degree robbery charge tuesday. tpey say cade robbed th dutrac community credit union last friday morning. he passed a note to a teller that said he was armed, and he demanded money. but police say he never swed a with moline, illinois, police to arrest cade. a family that owns a hog confinement building is trying to figure out what to do after a fire that killed more than 4 thousand pigs. firefighters arrived at brenneman pork near wellman around 9:45 tuesday night. the fire had already burned much of the building, and there wasn't much they could do. firefighters couldn't salvage anything from

"raising ps and farming is something that we're passionate about, and raising our family on the farm, but l'm certainly hoping that we will be able to rebuild eventually, and have a place where our kids can learn to raise pigs too. it something we love." brenneman says she doesn't know how the family plans to move forward. fire investigators haven't determined a cause. waterloo's first black mayor in the city's history will be sworn in next month. quentin hart is also a relatively young leader, something the city hasn't had in a while. hart beat former waterloo mayor tim hurley in tuesday's run-off election. unofficial results show hart received more than five thousand votes. hart will replace buck clark who did not run for a fourth term. the mayororlect has experience working with the city as a councilman for the 4th ward. he says he wants to bring people from both

better years in waterloo. since his campaign annououement in july, hart told tv-9 that he knocked on thousands of doors in hopes citizens would support him. one element he nts to bring right away is to celebrate waterloo's success. the election can be on any tuesday as long as there's at least 32 days notice. many medicaid patients in iowa are still struggling to understand the change toto privatelylyontrolled system coming on january first. despite the confusion, only a handful of people attended a public hearing on the change yesterday in cedar rapids. one person from the department of humum services said the small number of participants might have misunderstoo d the purpose. unlike previous hearings on the idea of privatizing medicaid, yesterday's meeting was only to disisss a few aandments to the govererr's plan. soon have a new name. the regents approved naming the hospital l e stead family university o oiowa children's hospital, after businessman jerre stead and his wife, mary joy. the steads have donated more than 50 million dollars to the university. the name goes into effect next november. the dubuque school district needs a new swimming pool, but that project is now on hold. that's becausef a change in the collection of the state sales tax from iowa's manufacturer s. tt change takes effectctn july first next year. it'll erase the state sales tax that iowa manufacturer s have paid on consumable supplies. those are items they use in the manufacturin g g ocess. the iowa department of revenue estimates that will cut overall state sales tax revenue by 40 million dollars between 2017 and 2020. it could also r ruce local option sales tax revenue by up to six million dollars annually. that would affect cities that have large manufacturing bases.

pool project because dubuque schools were plaaing to use about 7 million dollars from the local option sales tax. the school district was talking about renovating the poql at hempstead high school and ssibly partnering with city to build an aquatic center. under the proposal, the city would pay for part of the pool project and dubuque schools would make up the rest. "we want people to know we may not be as attractive of a partner as we were a few months ago. we dodot know if we are going to have that seven million. we might only have two million dollars.
