moderated by our own david muir and martha raddatz. as for who will be on stage, abc will announce the final lineup later today. hopefully donald trump will make it to new hampshire for that debate, with or without his plane. his private jet was forced to make an emergency landing in nashville yesterday after the pilot reported engine problems. there's no word on exactly what went wrong with the boeing 757. but trump did eventually make it to an event in little rock, arkansas, 90 minutes late. the faa is investigating the incident. though he's not in the running -- in the running for the office, president obama has taken on one of the campaign's more controversial issues. during his first visit to a mosque, the president tried to correct what he called a hugely distorted distorted impression of muslim americans, saying that children have been bull idea and mosques destroyed he warned about the dangers of demonizing one group of americans. >> we're one american family. when any part of our family

class-action lawsuits have been filed. an fbi investigation launched and the mayor proposed replacing all the city's lead pipes leading to residents' homes. >> we can't get the governor of michigan at this hearing, that's a shame. >> reporter: some lawmakers are angry. governor rick snyder didn't testify and the former flint emergency manager he appointed ignored a subpoena from congress. well, as the hearing was going on, the governor did announce that he wants to spend $30 million to help the affected residents and pay their water bills. reena and phillip? >> thank you very much. the sexual assault case against bill cosby is moving forward. a judge refused to throw out the case against the comedian and allowed the current district attorney to remain involved. a former da who testified for cosby claimed he had granted cosby immunity in the case. the judge ignored that claim. cosby's attorneys say they will appeal the decision. >> martin shkreli's new attorney has done something all the bad press could not.

boy, a dramatic rescue caught on camera yesterday in port st. lucie, florida. at least two bystanders and two police detectives pulled a 73-year-old man out of his car after it crashed in a pond outside city hall. he had been hit by another elderly driver, a 77-year-old woman, which sent his car careening right into that pond. no one was hurt. the same can't be said for that car. there will be more testimony

at a hearing to decide if a convicted murderer should get a new trial. the case of adnan syed was the first season of the popular "serial" podcast. he was convicted in the 1999 murder of his former girlfriend. but the podcast raised questions about the case. on the stand yesterday, a witness claimed she saw him at a library during the time prosecutors claimed he was committing the crime. she also said a former prosecutor said the potential alibi was irrelevant. and a real estate heir robert durst has pleaded guilty to a weapons charge in new orleans. he's been in custody since last year just as an hbo documentary series was airing that detailed his links to several murders. in yesterday's deal, durst agreed to an 85-month prison sentence. if a judge approves the deal, it could clear the way for durst's extradition to california to face charges for the murder of a former friend. the 13-year-old girl from virginia whose body was found in a pond across the border in north carolina will be buried today. >> authorities are learning it was social media that linked her

abc's eva pilgrim has the latest. >> reporter: as the family prepares to lay their 13-year-old daughter to rest, authorities still trying to piece together the case. family and friends telling abc news, seventh grader nicole lovell was bullied at school, self-conscious about the way she looked after beating serious childhood illnesses. she had multiple social media accounts -- facebook, instagram, snapchat, kik. it was there police think she met david eisenhauer, the 18-year-old freshman, a former high school track star, charged in her murder. >> eisenhauer used this relationship to his advantage to abduct and then kill her. >> reporter: nicole lovell's parents say they last saw her last tuesday night. she snuck out, pushing a dresser against her bedroom door, climbing out her window. saturday morning, police arrest david eisenhauer in his dorm at virginia tech. that afternoon, authorities find lovell's body 80 miles away in north carolina. the alleged accomplice expected back here in court on thursday.
