we're trying to get more information on what happened. this is video from around 8 o'clock last night - police wouldn't confirm any other details. but we will bring you the latest as soon as we know more. this morning we have more information on that deadly crash in benton county that we told you about yesterday morning. the iowa state patrol says icy roads may have caused the crash that killed 3 people. a minivan and a pick-up truck crashed around 5:15 yesterday morning, on highway 30, just east of 16th avenue. that's near keystone. the state patrol says the driver of the minivan carrying 10 people lost control. another vehicle then hit the minivan, causing 2 other vehicles to crash. three people from the cedar rapids area, who were all inside the minivan, died at the scene. investigators have not released their names yet. trooper bob conrad with the iowa state patrol says while it appears ice did play a role, he says it also seems the driver of the minivan failed to maintain control. he says the van was also overloaded. cathy cutler with the d-o-t district office says they had
