the kalamazoo, michigan county attorney says the shooter who allegedly killed 6 others over the weekend wasn't on anyone's radar. 45-year-old jason dalton is expected to be arraigned today on murder charges. dalton started shooting late saturday night at an apartment complex, car dealership and cracker barrel restaurant. michigan governor rick snyder called the shootings "senseless violence at its worst." police do not know of any connection between dalton and the victims. investigators say dalton was a driver for ride- sharing service uber. investigators are looking into the cause of a fire at an iowa city duplex. firefighters responded to 20-49 little creek lane around 10 o'clock yesterday morning. they found flames in the front of the building, near the garage. it took crews about 20 minutes to get the fire under control. no one was hurt. remember, whenever you see news happening call newsline nine at 319- 365-9999. you can also send pictures and news tips to newsroom at kcrg dot com. less than a year and a half

"you know, if you look at donald, donald devotes all of his time and energy, all of his money, to attacking me." "i don't believe that he has exhibited an understanding of foreign policy, which is the most important job of the commander-in-chief. and to say i'm just going to surround myself with really smart people, you know, that's not enough." republican jeb bush has dropped out of the race

south carolina primary. a political analyst here in iowa says bush campaigned like someone whose heart just wasn't in it and seemed out of step with the times. "his brother ruined the brand and he just expected people to fall in line behind him. the republicans, in the way they ginned up the base all these years created a tiger and the question is who can ride that tiger and jeb bush could not." goldford says the next few weeks will reveal if the trump victories will continue beyond super tuesday as the other contenders are splitting the non-trump vote. both hillary clinton and bernie sanders say the minority vote is even more important now for their campaigns moving forward. in the nevada caucuses on saturday, minority voters accounted for about a third of caucus-goers. and in south carolina, they're expected to make up a majority of voting democrats. katie wiedemann explores what experts say new parents really need for a new baby. and what they can leave on the store shelves. there could be a shortage of dentists in iowa's future. university of iowa researchers believe it could be a problem especially in rural areas. kcrg-tv9's forrest saunders looks at the study and has the story. the iowa public policy center's four part study shows something that's happening across the globe.dentist s are nearing retirement. listen to this. the data showed iowa dentists 55 and older nearly doubled-from 23 percent to 42 percent- between '97 and 2013. in essence, almost half of iowa's dentists are near retirement age. why does that matter? "we're probably going to see some shortages in rural areas that heretofore did not exist, with the advancing age of dentists that are practicing in rural areas and then retiring."add to that, fewer

begin with. the study suggested dentists practicing in rural communities dropped steadily- 49 percent to 36 percent one third of iowa's private-practice dentists are concentrated in the state's three biggest metros.
