speaking there while campaigning. he will also be making a stop in davenport tonight. some protestors showed up at the former president's rally in waterloo last night -- calling him a 'rapist'. " he's a rapist. bill is a rapist. " others at the event quickly removed the protestors were quickly after that. this is at least the 4th time people have shouted rape allegations at him during clinton campaign rallies, around the country. conservative radio show host, and trump supporter, alex jones looks o told listeners he'll give away a total of $100,000 dollars for these kinds of outbursts. last night, mr. clinton denied protestors the last word. " that's what's wrong with american politics. i don't want you to treat them the way they treat you. " jones' challenge comes as trump tries to hammer bill clinton on alleged sexual misconduct, decades ago.

former president has denied those allegations. as hillary clinton is taking today off campaigning, her team is watching the latest batch of stolen emails wikileaks released. clinton's top adviser says the f-b-i is investigating russia's role in hacking thousands of his personal emails. the contents of the emails are offering a glimpse into the inner-workings of the clinton campaign. clinton campaign chairman john podesta says donald trump's campaign may have been aware of advance. publications are reporting women are coming forward to say donald trump inappropriate ly touched them. we'll look at the trump campaign's response, later this half hour. the head of an iowa republican women's group is stepping down because she says she can no longer support donald trump. melissa gesing, resigned from her position as president of the iowa federation of republican women through a post on her blog tuesday. gesing writes: "i cannot in good conscience lead this organization or look at myself do not take a stand against the racism, sexism, and hate that donald j. trump continues to promote." the iowa federation of republican women says the group will keep supporting trump. "although those comments eleven years ago were offensive - i do not believe he is degrading to women now " gesing declined an interview. she says she is still a republican and will support other republican candidates, just not trump. a video posted to social media of a fight between iowa city west students

the video shows a group of girls punching two students repeatedly near the school during the school day. the video was posted online, but was deleted soon after. zee brown, the mother of kayah hicks, saved the video from social media. she says her daughter is now too scared to go to school, and says the school is not doing enough to stop it. but school leaders say they do have policies in place. again. as linn-mar school enrollment keeps growing, one idea could shift the grade assignments to accommodate more students. the plan calls for students in preschool through 4th grade to go to elementary schools. grades 5 to 7 to go to middle schools, including a new school the district would need to build. 8th and 9th graders would go to a newly converted center that is currently excelsior middle school. and 10th through 12th graders would go to the high school. the district says the plan still need board approval. a large bond issue is on the horizon for voters in johnson county. iowa city schools are planning to ask voters to approve a $191 million dollar bond. that money would go toward continuing a project to build and renovate buildings in the school district. it would also help fund additions on the new liberty high school in north liberty, which hasn't opened yet. the superintenden t says everyone would feel the effects. " we think we're going to get a tremendous value for the

renovations at all of our current schools completed." the vote is scheduled to take place in september 20- 17. if it passes, it would raise property taxes by about $170 a year on a $200,000 dollar house, starting in the year 20-22. the university of iowa wants to renovate part of kinnick stadium... at a cost of nearly $90 million dollars. the university has submitted a plan to the state regents for redoing the north end zone stands. those stands are about 30 years old. them during the 2006 kinnick renovation project. this is a look at renderings for the project. the proposed renovation would replace the existing general admission seating with upper and lower general admission seating bowls... plus two general admission concourses... and a premium club level. the regents will talk about the plan at their next meeting. if they approve it, the university hopes to complete the project before the 2019 football season. keeping minds and doors open

engineering and math or stem. that's the hope of an conference for more than 500 female middle school students today. the girls are learning about career fields in stem at an event at coe college from 9 this morning until 2. they'll meet with about 100 women already working in stem-related careers. the town of kalona in washington county will soon be home to to one of the biggest solar farms in the state. farmers electric cooperative is now spending about $1.2 million dollars to build a 4 and a half acre solar fa panels, that were built there 2 years ago. once it's complete, the solar farm will produce 2 mega watts of electricity. that's enough to power about 200 homes. one local business - farmers hen house, say it is proud solar energy supplies their power. "they want local food. they want to know where it comes from. they want it from sustainable agriculture so it just fits very well with that that we're using sustainable energy, renewable energy to package the product." the shooting and wounding of 2 officers overnight has died. police say the officers were responding to a report of a person with a gun late last night in east boston when they started being shot at. one of the officers was shot multiple times and is listed in stable condition. sot "two of the officers dragged their fellow officers out of the line of fire so they were in a protected zone and the officers continued to engage in a gun exchange. " officers say the suspect had an assault rifle and bulletproof vest.
