relocate to the cedar rapids downtown core. hibu, a digital marketing services provider and directory publisher, is moving into 211 third avenue se in cedar rapids. rockwell collins had space in that building for years -- and moved out of that building in the summer. as kcrg tv9's jordee kalk reports, central core businesses felt that loss -- and hope to "get it back" with the influx of workers. were devastated when rockwell collins moved out of this facility earlier this year. that's why they're so excited to get some enthusiasm back in this downtown core, with more than double the amount of employees that used to work here. take vo: cedar rapids metro economic alliance says the downtown core survives off itself. the organization says that's why many smaller and local businesses did suffer when rockwell left the downtown area. many business owners hope hibu's opening will lead to a chain reaction among businesses. the owners hope these new workers will lead to an increase of people stopping in for lunch and

public library. this man faces charges for a stabbing that seriously injured 2 people outside an apartment complex in cedar falls. 28 year old adam jacobsen is charged with 2 counts of attempted murder. officers say jacobsen, who lives at university avenue studios, stabbed 2 people there around 4:30 p-m yesterday. first responders took jeffery miller, who is 62, to the hospital with potentially life threatening injuries. denice bennett, who is 47, has multiple serious injuries. investigators believe victims. a mother and her boyfriend have pleaded not guilty in connection to the death of the mother's 4 year old daughter in waterloo. that's according to the waterloo- cedar falls courier. the boyfriend, chad little, is facing first degree murder charges in the death of gracie buss. the mother, kristi buss, is facing child endangerment charges. prosecutors accuse chad little of abusing the girl, leading to the head injuries that killed her in may of 2015. a waterloo man who died in a

that's according to the waterloo- cedar falls courier. investigators say it happened in the 500 block of newell street around midnight friday. officials haven't yet confirmed the identity of the man inside the burning car. they do think it's the vehicle's listed owner. cedar rapids police say the number of burglary reports is up this year by 12%. from january to the end of september, police say they received 801 reports. that's compared to 705 during the same time officials say one way to deter burglaries is to take part in a neighborhood watch. the police department is holding an informational meeting about the watch program tonight at 6:30 in cedar rapids public library. stay with us as we continue to look into this story. a west des moines man says his constitutiona l right to free speech is being stolen. anyone passing bill bishop's home can see he is vocal about his political opinions. but now he says people are stealing his signs. it's gotten to the point he has

" bishop believes he's being targeted in part because of his support for donald trump. but he has no idea who might be committing the thefts. are pouncing on another story involving the investigation into hillary clinton's emails. newly-released documents show a top state department official allegedly pressured the f-b-i to declassify previously classified emails. the f-b-i and state department deny any "quid pro quo" was offered. according to the f-b-i, no classification changes were made. "the allegation of any kind of quid pro quo is inaccurate and does not align with the facts. so there was no quid pro quo. " donald trump is continuing to

the election is "rigged" against him. we'll look more at that and the allegations of sexual misconduct against the republican presidential nominee later on this half hour. the jasper county sheriff's office is investigating whether several cases of arson on the construction equipment for the bakken oil pipeline are connected. someone set fire to a backhoe and 3 bulldozers near reasnor over the weekend. the fire caused about $2 million dollars in damage. workers were using the equipment to build the controversial pipeline that runs through the state. some landowners say the fires are also threatening livelihoods. "they can protest but this is really damaging people's property. could do the fields and everything." " "there's always a chance with any fire that it could spread. there's still crops around the area. i'm sure the people that are lighting these are probably not concerned about that. " back in august, 2 other fires

in jasper county. they happened near reasnor and newton. there was also a fire in nearby mahaska county. investigators say there are many similarities between the most recent fire and the earlier ones. they include where they happened - and the type of equipment damaged. the company building the pipeline, dakota access, is offering $100,000 dollars for information leading to an arrest. for anyone with a newborn, costs add up quick. especially with items such as diapers and formula. that's why the eastern iowa heath center and young parents network are partnering with hy-vee and unity point health to help those in need. kcrg-tv nine's brea love joins us like from the edgewood road hy-vee store in cedar rapids. brea, how do the groups plan to do this? chris, they are looking for the public help to donate a year's supply of
