get more information on what led up to the crash. kcrg-tv nine's brea love is live close to where this happened near coe college. brea, what do you see out there this morning? chris and nicole, we have received three reports of crashes early this morning. currently i'm here at the corner of 1st avenue northeast and 12th street southeast. police have told us this started out as a traffic stop. police confirmed to tv-9 that kcrg-tv9's crew on scene saw a police vehicle pinned forcing crews to extract the officer inside at about 2:15 crashed into several other vehicles in a parking lot about 1000 feet from the police vehicle. police also tell us that a person had a minor injury following a collision with a train this morning. patty weiland sent us this picture. police say it happened around 1:30 this morning at 4600 bowling street south west. police say a single car was involved. tv9 has also confirmed a vehicle

spoke to a homeowner who had to adjust how he showed his support. jordee: the homeowner here had his original donald trump sign destroyed in mid-october. so he recently put up this new trump sign on the second floor of the building in hopes this will make it harder for vandals to reach. charles heath says he immediately contacted iowa city police. he says officers there are still handling the lack of respect in this election season. he says its okay for people to disagree, just not to the level where someone would deface public property. health says especially because political signs directly correlate to freedom of speech. 16:23, "it comes back to respecting people and the constitution and obeying what it says jordee: officials say they've received multiple reports of stolen and defaced political signs this month alone. officers say this happens to both republicans and democrats. in iowa city, jordee kalk, kcrg

"she was really a nice person. she was always there for everyone. and really like a loving person. she had a great personality " police also found a 78- year-old man beaten in the house. he's in critical condition. neighbors say he owned the house and was renting it to the

des moines police say there's new evidence in the deadly shooting of a 14-year-old boy. police released dashcam video they say could be critical to helping them solve the case of who shot . they are trying to find information about a silver chevy equinox. it was seen driving north on keo way -- leaving downtown des moines -- and just moments after someone shot in the head while he sitting in a car.
