soothing for you. >> such as? >> well, we know that one of the ways that our body tells itself it's time to sleep there's a rise in a hormone called melatonin. but bright light and blue light can inhibit our body's release of that hormone, so there are things we can do. one is just dimming the lights but a couple of cool things. i've got these orange glasses and when i put those on, take a look, this is what it looks like, the environment changes. >> wow. >> okay, and what that does it allows her body melatonin. so if you put those on for a couple of hours before bed, small studies show it may make you sleepier. on our electronic devices, you can hit something called night shift, and it turns your screen colors from blues to oranges. other devices you can download that as well. these are little things that you can do that may help you get a better night's sleep. turning off your electronics an hour before bed is a good thing too. >> do you do things like that? >> i do. we, the routine

charges this morning for stealing more than $10,000 dollars worth of lottery tickets. polk county sheriff's deputies say the tickets were stolen from a bondurant couple's store. that couple actually won the lottery and used part of their winnings to build the store. 27-year-old matthew hinrichs ticket theft. deputies say he stole lottery scratch tickets over several months and cashed them in at other locations a co-worker reportedly saw him stealing tickets and reported it. former new york mayor rudy giuliani will be in eastern iowa today to campaign for republican presidential nominee donald trump. he and governor branstad will be at the vinton american legion, the hiawatha g-o-p office and duos coffee in waverly. and now here's your first alert
