officer woods stopping the car for not having a license plate. they just left the home of a wanted fugitive with multiple arrest warrants. he asked the driver, his mother, if her son is there. >> she immediately responded with the words, to the effect of, it's a toy gun, don't shoot him. >> reporter: the officer called for backup. >> i need you here on the ground. police determined that the firearm was, in fact, a toy gun. this video released after a particularly dangerous week for law enforcement around the country. five officers shot. two killed. he was booked on warrants and new charges for resisting arrest and aggravated assault. his mother facing charges for harboring a fugitive. abc news, new york. it was a working holiday for

wildfires forcing thousands out of their homes. drought and arson being blamed for the fires. about 130 people treated for injuries caused by the flames. france is sending fire fighting planes to battle the wildfires, and crews from russia, turkey, and greece are already on the scene there. in the u.s., crews are still battling wildfires across the southeast. more than 16,000 acres have been scorched in eight crews spent thanksgiving day trying to contain the flames, some of which have been caused by arson. investigators have arrested several people as a result of the fires. dallas won, for my friends in dfw, they are really excited right now. we had a triple serving of nfl action on thanksgiving. detroit lions came from behind again to beat the vikings, but

lewiston police officer woods stopping this car for not having a license plate. the car had just left home. jessie herald, a wanted fugitive with multiple arrest warrants was there. he asked the driver, his mother, if her son is there. >> she immediately responded with the words, to the effect of, it's a toy gun, don't shoot him. >> reporter: the officer called for backup. >> i need you here immediately. >> reporter: next, you see the officer springs into action. the two wrestling on the ground until backup arrives. police later determined that the firearm was, in fact, a toy gun. this video released after a particularly dangerous week for law enforcement around the country, five officers shot, two killed. herald was booked on those outstanding warrants as well as new charges for resisting arrest and aggravated assault.
