" ten victims were shot ranging from ages 20 to 37, 2 females, 8 males, one of whom has expired at the hospital. " police are still investigating

one police officer remains in the hospital after a deadly crash on i-380. two people died in the accident yesterday morning near downtown cedar rapids. " officer struck up on the interstate. pd southbound. first ave west. rollover as well " an officer was parked monitoring traffic after another vehicle hit that squad car. two officers were injured, and two people in the other vehicle were pronounced dead on the scene. kcrg-tv9's phil reed spoke with a couple who say they saw the whole thing happen. matt langguth and his girlfriend chelsey merchant were on 380 heading home from a night out when they saw the deadly crash. "right before they hit, i seen

towards the guard rail, then over corrected and went straight into the officer's vehicle " they immediately got off on the next exit to turn around and help them after making sure the officers were alive, they checked on the people in the car that hit police "i tried breaking the window out with my foot, with my foot. i couldn't break the window out, so i asked the officer for the night stick. the officer came and broke out the back window on the driver's side. and i crawled through the back windows, and when i crawled tho says there wasn't anything they could do to help them "you couldn't see the guy very well. he was for sure dead. and then i looked at the female, but her face was pretty bad, and you could tell they wasn't alive " police and firefighters stayed throughout the morning re-routing traffic as crews worked to clear the scene. while this couple tries to clear their mind from saturday morning. part in pushing for recounts in several key states. campaign officials said they had not found any evidence of hacking voting systems. that comes after green party candidate jill stein filed for a recount in wisconsin, friday due to "statistical anomalies". president-elect donald trump won that state. stein raised millions of dollars for recounts and plans to file in other states. trump resp saturday. it said in part, quote "this is a scam by the green party for an election that has already been conceded, and the results of this election should be respected instead of being challenged and abused, which is exactly what jill stein is doing." in an interview for cnn, the green party presidential nominee responded to the accusations. she invited donald trump's campaign to participate in a "people- powered effort to ensure the integrity and the security of the votes." cedar rapids. the officer was stopped due to traffic control following a minor crash... that's when another vehicle hit that squad car from behind. a couple we spoke to saw the whole thing, and tried to help. "we ran over to the other car to see if we could even pull them out or save them, and it was pretty much to the point of they weren't able to be saved because of how crushed the car was " tw the two in the other vehicle were pronounced dead on the scene. police had to block traffic for hours. saturday brought a tearful goodbye for one of the victims of the chattanooga bus crash. loved ones shed tears at the funeral for nine- year-old cor'dayja jones. she is one of six children who died monday. children's pastor moriah stanley says - her presence will be missed. " she was the most genuine child you could ever meet. you know when people say, that oh

" saturday's funeral service was filled with song after song. hundreds of family members and friends said cor'dayja was a friend to all. meanwhile, records released by the school district show students and administrators had raised concerns weeks before the crash. one student wrote "the bus driver drives fast." another said the driver made sharp turns that bounced riders. the driver is charged with the u-s army corps of engineers plans to close off land where a large group of bakken oil pipeline protestors are camping. the chairman of the standing rock sioux tribe says he got a letter from the corps friday. it says authorities will close land north of the cannonball river after december 5th. anyone still on the land will be trespassing and subject to prosecution. a protest organizer says many people are building shelters and plan to stay put. the pipeline is set to go

at this point police don't know what motivated the shooting, but one male victim was among two men arrested on firearms charges. the shooting happened despite an increased police presence for the bayou classic football game saturday night between southern and grambling universities. " ten victims were shot ranging from ages 20 to 37, 2 females, 8 males, one of whom has expired at the hospital. kajuan raye has now been relieved of his police powers pending the completion of the independent police review authority's investigation. the sergeant says raye pointed a gun at him, but police have not found a weapon. "having been a police officer for 28 years, i know that this job is not easy and the decision to use force is extremely complex and must be made in seconds without the benefits of formal reviews and deliberations," said supt. john "however, based on the little information we know at this point, i have concerns about this incident and feel this decision is in the best interest of the department and the people of chicago as we await a methodical and impartial investigation into exactly what transpired." police say the sergeant had given chase, thinking raye matched the description of a battery suspect. police say raye was shot after the teen twice appeared to point a gun at the pursuing officer. but no gun had been found at shooting scene. outside the 7th district police station on saturday,
