[jim brickman] i did...go hurricanes! i did and we were there at the same time. i know you don't remember 'cause you were like a big star and everything. you brushed by me a couple times at the cafeteria...it was no big deal. [john secada] there was a language barrier. i was learning english at the time. [jim brickman] oh...that's the reason... i see... but you've done something actually really special for our alma matter. [john secada] yeah, we did a scholarship in my name that to me means a lot. any opportunity to give back...especially to a great school and a great program for the arts. you know these days the arts need all the help they can get. [john secada] hi i'm john secada. as a child my marriage to pbs was directly linked to education and the wonderful programming that i grew up with. from "mr. rogers" to "sesame street". that's the way that i learned english as an immigrant. and i can't tell you what those shows meant to me. later on i had the opportunity to do a tribute to mr. rogers. and in my heart and as an artist it's directly, directly because of pbs, because of all the shows that i watched as a kid. so give, pledge, give as much as you can to this wonderful, wonderful network. it's going to be worth it for you, and your children.
