9:20 pm
here's a live look at i- 380. this is our road warrior. the eve of thanksgiving. this is near north little bit liberty where he is. and as far as our weather goes, sounds like a nice thanksgiving tomorrow. i think so.
9:21 pm
moved out. i don't see any significant precipitation until the very end of the holiday weekend. so i think we'll be doing some pretty good traveling. at least farce the road conditions are concerned. and on our satellite tonight, while the rain is to the east of us. you can see the clouds have not departed and i think they're going to hang pretty tough in here. so we'll be a little bit shy on sunshine tomorrow, but at least the temperatures won't be too bad. i think our highs should be back up there around 6 -- 40 degrees in that's pretty close to what you would expect to see this time of year. once again, just to confirm, there's no rain or snow now anywhere in eastern iowa. even up to wisconsin and minnesota. that's all pushed off to the northeast. so pretty quiet weather pattern as we go through the next 24 hours. for the commute out there, looks lake temperatures should be in the range of 33-35 degrees. cloudy say, and chilly conditions. all across the board.
9:22 pm
here for thanksgiving itself, then going into black friday, shopper, doesn't look too bad. quite a few clouds around. then, temperatures into the lower 40s. and then we go into the weekend. this is where temperatures actually start to warm. i think there's good chance, highs into the 50s. but late in the day on sunday, and especially sunday night, some rain will move back into the forecast. so here is your thanksgiving day planner. and if you're look me, this is kind of the day your day work the out. temperatures will be in the mid- 30s. and then you get into the feasting time here between 12 and 2:00 in the afternoon. that's when temperatures should get into the upper 30s to around 40 under cloudy sky. then after that, usually take a little nap. it's about 39 degrees at 4:00. and then as we get into the evening. you start getting hungry once again. that's when you dig in. at that teenager temperatures should be around 37-38 degrees. another thing, that's coming up
9:23 pm
especially for the hawkeyes. they're game at 2:30 on friday afternoon. for that, skies should be mostly cloudy. temperatures will be chilly. but you would expect that this time of year. about 42 degrees for the kick off. winds will be out of the south at 10 miles per hour. pretty good conditions considering the time of year. so today, this system worked its way across the midwest. we had about half an inch of that. and late nit day tomorrow, as that works towards us, we'r little bit of late day sunshine. but on our predictor here, not real optimistic about that. as you can see as we go through the nighttime hours, clouds seem to be hanging pretty tough in here. so we start tomorrow morning at 6:00 a.m. with overcast skies. finally around noon, especially in our southern counties, the clouds begin to thin a little bit. and hopefully, later on in the day, we'll squeeze out a little bit of sunshine. perhaps highway 20 on to the south. there's another week disturbance.
9:24 pm
make that friday night into friday morning. there could be a couple light snow showers up in the north. there's going to be so light, won't cause any problems. we're not concerned about that. and by our forecast from the north tonight, temperatures will be back into the range of around 32 to 34 degrees. and we'll continue on with the clouds and our southern ex-s is. temperatures here around 34-35 degrees. not a lot of rain as you you can see. maybe as cool to 33. with generally cloudy skies rights on through the night. and maybe a late day break for some sunshine. temperatures upper 30s around 40. in our southern south carolinas. we might see some -- southern sections, we might see some spots -- right now i'm thinking about 40 in cedar rapids. and 41 in iowa city and here is your extended forecast. and we keep the dry weather going into friday then. saturday, we're at 52. late in the day on sunday, that's when we could see some showers. those will probably linger into monday and after that, a pretty
