waterloo home caught fire early this morning. morning.fire chief pat troar tells cbs 2 news firefighters responed to the scene at 717 linden avenue around 4-15. they found the body of 64- year-old rebecca lavenz in the ding area of the home.that's where investigators lieve the fireretarted.firefighters say it was only a minor fire, but there was heavy smoke.an autopsy is happening to determine how lavenz died, but investigators don't think foul play was involved. cedar rapids police have arrested a man for arson. arson.richard alatalo was s arreed monday afternoon after witnesses say they saw him breaking into a vacant home on j street uthwest. when police arrived, alatalo ft the house and was arrested.inside the house, investigators found a small fire in a bedroom.alatalo is also charged with third degree burglary. a waterloo n is facing charges for what police are calling an attempted abduction and shooti. shooting.police tell cbs 2
