house on sunday that was being rented by david miller.he has *not charged in hustad's death -- but authorities are calling him a "persosoof interest." intereststmiller is in custody for violating his parole after police say he stole a truck. two former anamosa prison guards have pleaded guilty to state drug charges. charges.seth vogel submitted a written plea for possession of a controlled substance.marques maryland entered his plea to the same charge last week -- and has been sentenced to two days in jail.vogel is expected to get the same sentence.this makes four anamosa guards to have pleaded guilty after a smuggling investigation at the prison.at least nine employees have been fired or resigned. the american economy is slowing down. down.that's what a new government report released today shows in the third quarter.the government says gross domestic product grew just one-and-half percent from july to september.that's down from nearly ur-percent during the second quarter in the spring.most economists are predicting the economy will pick-up at the end of the year.

in washington -- house lawmakers have passed a bi-partison budget along to the senate.the agreement will keep the goverment from defaulting on its debt before it's deadline on tuesday.the budget deal is expected to pass the senate before then. satelite voting locatitis are now open in iowa city for the city council election.until four this afternoon, voters will be able to submit their ballots at t fountain lobby at the u-i-h-c.the location at the public library will be open until six.election day is november third. north liberty residents will soon be learning more about a proposed interchange at west forevergreen road and i-380. thd-o-t will hold a 90- minute public information meeting starting at five on november 18-th.the meeting will have information on the proposed improvements in the area. the city of coralville is celebrating the opening of its new transit facility.the hub is located in the iowa river landing and actually opened in august.tonight -- people will be able to take a tour of the facility and learn more about it.the transit hub offers bike
