the argument didn't end there. the des moines-based iowa gun owners, says the proposed ban is not rational.last night, they came to kalona, handing out flyers asking citizens to stand up for their second amendment rights. "all these areas where we've seen innocent people being murdered happened in areas where government officials, local or state or federal, have to clear those areas off-limits to law-abiding citizens" citizens"the kalona city council did not discuss the issue during last night's meeting because the library board was not able to attend. city leaders now say the issue is dead, until the library board brings it back up. an iowa city man is facing charges for pulling out a gun during an argument. argument.police arrested logan santel late sunday night at a university of iowa fraternity house.a victim says santel pointed a semi-automatic hand-gun at their feet. officers found the gun, which santel does not have a permit to carry.he faces two weapons charges and has been released from the johnson county jail. santel could spend four years

in jail if convicted. jury selection continues for the man accused of killing a woman in a local parking lot. lot.nicholas luerkens is charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing that killed lynnsey donald. donald.it happened in the parking lot of the marion hy-vee back in april, while shoppers looked on.prosecutors say luerkens was stalking donald and planned to murder her.he has pleaded not guilty. a preliminary hearing has been rescheduled, rescheduled,for the man charged in a bus crash near manchester.monte klink was originally supposed to have his hearing tomorrow.that will now take place november 18th. 18th.klink was arrested last week when police said he was intoxicated during the crash october first.klink is accused of running a yield sign before slamming into the bus which was full of kids.more than 30 people were treated for minor injuries as a result. it's day number two in office for bruce harrelld, the university of iowa's new president. president.his first day on the job was met with protests by people continuing to voice

their displeasuse with him being hired.many of the protestors want both harreld and the iowa board of regents to resign.the regents say demonstrators have the right to voice their opinions, but they are satisfied with their selction of president harreld. cbs 2 news spoke with harreld yesterday.we asked what his thoughts are on the negative publicity. the first lawsuit has been filed in connection to the e. coli outbreak linked to chipotle restaurants. restaurants.at leased 22 illnesses have been connected to some of the chain's locations in washington and oregon.the woman who filed the lawsuit claims she became violently sick after eating chipotle last month.she is seeking 75-thousand dollars from the company.the e. coli outbreak has forced chipotle to close more than 40-stores, while they're value on wall monday. hilton hotels is under investigation for allegedy blocking its guests from wi-fi internet access.
