on the cbs 2 news live at five. cedar falls is getting a new mayor.the waterloo cedar falls courier reports reportscurrent mayor jon crews is dropping out of a run-o-o election.however, the black hawk county auditor tells cbs 2 news that crews has not spoken to him yet. on tuesday - niether crews nor cedar falls school board member jim brown got enough votes to win the election.crews was seeking a 16th term in office.jim brown will take over at the end of the year. changes are coming to the cedar rapids public library. library.on tuesday - voters rejected a tax levy that woululve provided funding for the library's operations. library staff members say most likely -- both the downtown location and the ladd library across town will have to shut down one day a week and reduce some of their services. i haven't been this upset about a city happening in a long, long time, but i'm a lover of the library, and apparently not enough people in this town love the library
