new this mmorning... morning...police responded overnight to the ced-rel motel just off highway 30.a cbs 2 news crew saw deputies from the linn county sheriff's office and the iowa state patrol on scene.right now -- they're not saying why they were there.we're continuing to track this story -- and we'll bring you the latest updates once more information is released. in waterloo, police had to use tear gas to end a standoff last night. night.the waterloo cedar falls courier reports the standoff lalaed several hours at a home along the 400 block of sheridan road.officers with the waterloo police department's tactical team were called to the scene, as well as the bomb squad. authorities shut down the street, and say threats about explosives were made.no injuries were reported and no weapons were found.the man was ken to a nearby hospital for observation. new this morning, french officials say the suspected

attacks in paris is abdelhamid owabaaoud, a belgian national who is reportedly in syria. syria.we're also learning more details on france's response, to attacks that killed about 130 people in paris, and injured even more. more.just two days after the attacks -- french officials say they dropped 20 bombs on the isis-corolled city of raqqa -- which works as the islamic state group's capital. the frenen bombs targetted a jihadi training camp and the location where iraqi officials say the attacks were planned. in europe this morning -- police are still searching for suspected members of the sleeper cell that carried out the attacks that killed 129 people. people.seven people have been arrested in belgium already in connection to the attacks.and new this morning, french officials say in a a, 23 people are right now in custody, and more than one-hundred others are now on house arrest. arrest.but now this morning there are conflicting reports on whether 26-year-old salah abdeslam is in police custody. he's believed to have rented

searching for weapons stolen from a au-s army reserve center in a town about an hour west of boston. boston.f-b-i officials say there was a break-in over the weekend.they did not say what kind of weapons went missing... only that they are on the hunt--and don't believe it is connected to any terror threat. nearly 40 army reserve soldiers from the cedar rapids-based 649th regional support group are headed to afghanistan. afghanistan.sunday -- the soldiers and their families took part in a farewell ceremony at the armed forces reserve center.the unit will be providing base support -- making sure soldiers have everything they need.for many -- it's their second deployment to afghanistan. was a fake gun.ccording to police, officers responding in oakland were approached by the suspect...who they say pointed the weapon at them. several officers opened fire. the suspects name has not been released. four people remain in critical condition after a double decker tour bus crashed in a crowded san francisco neighborhood.officials say two other men are in serious condition.witnesses say the bus ran down a bicyclist, hit t at least two pedestrians and struck several cars before plowing into a construction site.the tour company that owns the bus said they are cooperating with authorities to determine how it happened. also in california, a survey team will be looking at storm damage today.the national weather service confirmed a tornado touched down in a town about 80 miles from sacramento. you can see some of the aftermath here...it brought down rees and damaged homes.a church roof was also damaged. no one was inside at the time. in cedar rapids on suny, sunday,the distri 19 toast-masters showed some folks how they can overcome fears of public spepeing.the
