near a black lives matter protest.five people were wounded when someone opened fire near the protest site monday night.the rally was protesting the police shooting of jamar clark, who was killed under murky circumstances last week.one of clark's cousins is among monday's five shooting victims. "it doesn't make sense, you know. we were not doing any harm, we were just asking questions and the man opens fire. and he didn't say 'stop' or 'freeze', he just us on the street and opened fire on us" us"none of the five victims suffered life-threatening injuries.police say the three people in custody are white men in their twenties. russian president vladimir putin says the surviving pilot shot down yesterday over the syrian-turkish border is at a russian airbase.the other crewmember was killed by syrian rebels.their plane was shot down by turkey, which says it had warned russia not to fly in its airspace.putin is alsmo making it clear he is prepared to take aim at any foreign plane that threatens russian aircrafts in the future and he's moving weapons

into place to back up that statement. also overseas, brussels is slowly getting back to normal-- even though the city remains on high alert after being locked down for days.the subway has started operating a partial service, being interrupted for several days and schools have re-opened in brussels.the city was shut down but is slowly coming back alive.police were searching for a gunman believed to have been involved in the paris terror attacks. pope francis is in nairobi, kenya today.it's his first trip to africa.he going to visit kenya, uganda and the central african republic.pope francis wants to bring his message of peace and reconciliation to the war-torn region.in fact, his security team is already saying they may need to make changes to his itinerary due to safety concerns. a man in philadelphia punched a taxi driver while wearing a mister incredible costume.now police are trying to track him down. down.surveillance video captured the suspect in a gas station after the alleged incident.police say it was halloween and he punched the

driver in the face then ran away without paying.police also wish to speak to the woman about the incident. in linn county, county,three people were injured including two central city. city.firefighters were called out tuesday night to the home about two miles west of the city.crews say a fire started in a camper, then spread to a nearby house.one person in the camper had to go to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.the cause of the fire is under investigation. north liberty, liberty,is getting backlash for a proposal some say would limit gun rights.city leaders discussed banning weapons on city-owned property.they say it was brought to them as a concern from the library board. the city council discussed a ban that would keep all weapons from places like parks -- the library and city buildings.some residents who oppose the ban say it would infringe on their rights and that the city doesn't have the power to override state code. "if we want to go to the library or to the park, you'll now put us in a position of

him, breaking off their relationship. he says he snapped, went to his home in north liberty to get a gun and shoot her. the newly unsealed warrants show police want to look through the phone records of farrington, kozak and his wife. police say the information may contain messages related to what happened that night as well as a possible motive.kozak's trial begins in april in story county. hillary clinton maintains her lead in iowa in the race for the democratic nominatino for president.a new poll from quinnipiac university came out today.it shows hillary clinton with a 51 to 42 lead over bernie sanders.the nine point margin for clinton is down from 11 in october.martin o'malley is the only other democrat in the race.he only has four-percent support in the hawkeye state. the item at the top of many wish lists this christmas is causing some concerns for the airline industry and anyone who flies. flies.the f-a-a estimates nearly one million drones will be given as gifts this year. drones have been found violating the areas around airports and even the white
