6:12 am
like 'i've heard that 30- thousand times.the say the n is actually for national championships, but i will point out, it's iowa who may play for a national championship this year, we're number four right now in the nation.look at him roll his eyes (laughs).hawkeyes are impressive, you gotta give it to 'em. 11-nothing, that's great, but don't forget just a few weeks ago, michigan was also undefeated, so hey.well, in all fairness though, that was, uh, do you thank the team monty, or do you thank the refs for that one?i thank the nebraska cornhuskers (laughs). hey, what is the mood around nebraska. obviously this is a big game, there's a big target on iowa's back. nebraska could be the david and goliath in this situation. give me the mood from where you folks are. how are things feeling from the nebraska side?you just said it right there, the david to goliath is exactly what nebraska wants the cornhuskers to be. nobody can take away from iowa's great record, 11-nothing like that, and how they're playing, very

consistent throughout the whole season. but i mean, when it comes to this particular game, and the rivalry that's been going on for so long now, you know that the team's gonna be up for you guys, and just as much as iowa wants to make it 12-nothing, the cornhuskers wanna deny that. so there's a lot of excitement and anticipation, and the belief that the sky's the limit. 11-0, you leave that outside the stadium on game day.well there you go. and we should mention the reason all three of us are together here, cause we're gonna have a little friendly bet between monty and us here at channel 2. it's fifty dollars to toys for tots, correct?that's right, have you made out your checks guys?no, i believe our boss is signing the paperwork.no matter who wins, this goes to a really good cause. and it was actually your guys' idea to come up with it, so. double or nothing, or you just wanna go 50-50?that may be above my paygrade to decide. i'll check with management to
6:14 am
decide that one.you can't lose with a cause like toys for tots, in either case. i'm not gonna admit that this is gonna turn out in any other way than the way i'm hoping, but still, in either case, you never lose by that donation to toys for tots.well hey, monty, we thank you so much for taking some time out and spending it with us here in cedar rapids, may the best team win.absolutely, good to see you guys.that's monty torres, our friends over in nebraska. and of course that game, coming up friday afternoon, 50 dollars goes to toys for tots either way, kevin.should be a good one for
