chicago's police superintenden t has been fired. fired.about an hour ago, mayor, rahm emanuel, announced garry mc-carthy was let go this morning.emanuel and mc-carthy reportedly met last night, with the mayor making the decision to fire mc-carthy sometime overnight.mc-carthy's termination comes after a week of protests through out chicago over the fatal shooting of a teen by an officer last year. this afternoon that officer is out of jail. jail.jason van dyke bonded out last night after he posted ten- percent of his one-point-five million dollar bail.van dyke was charged with murder last week in the shooting death of la-quan mc-donald from last october.the city of chicago released dash cam video of the shooting, which sparked the protests. president obama is on his way back to the u.s. after a two

a south h african appeals court will rule this week whether to convict oscar pistorius of murder. murder.the former olympic sprint was found guilty of manslaughter last year for the ooting death of his girlfriend in 20-13.the court is expected to announce thursday morning if it will over-turn that ruling.if pistorius is convicted of murder - he faces 15-years in prison.right now - he's under house arrest until 20-19. a u.s. marine is now guilty in the murder of a trans-gender woman in the phillippines. phillippines.lance corporal joseph scott pemberton will serve the next 12 years in prison.police said the victim's naked body was found with their head in a toilet in a hotel room last october. court documents show pemberton told police he choked the victim but then tried to revive her.he also told polce he became angry when he found out she had male body parts. we now know what led to a plane crash that killed 162 people last year. year.indonesian investigators
