defense secretary ash carter says a new team of special- operations troops will be sent to iraq to fight the islamic state. state.the pentagon has announced that nearly 200- commandos will deploy t t iraq's north, to conduct raids there and in syria.the troops will also gather intelligience and hunt down isis leaders.the expansion comes despite claims by iraq's prime minister that his country's forces are capable of defeating isis alone.secretary of state john kerry said the iraqis have been fully briefed on the plans.
