pay their fair share of taxes, windows were shot out of the vehicle. there are now three armored police vehicles around that s.u.v. and police are being very careful and methodical about searching it. and for those of you who are just joining us, this is special continuing cbs news coverage of the events in san bernadino, california today. we had a live picture of the s.u.v. surrounded by three police vehicles. this is the s.u.v. with the windows shot out. this was the scene just a few moments ago. as the police were surrounding the vehicle.

fallen out of the vehicle on the driver's side passenger seat, the back seat. it might be a body, but it is hard to tell. the police are telling us that at least one suspect is down. we have heard that at least one suspect has been arrested, and in fact, all three may have been apprehended. the police are about to have a briefing, and as soon as the officer steps up to the microphone, we will go live to the briefing to get the very latest details. 14 people killed, 17 people wounded in san bernadino county today, by three unknown gunmen, gunmen the police may have apprehended. let's go to that police briefing

somehow during that c we now know more about what happened the night 68-year old anita labkon was beaten to death at her cedar rapids home three years ago. ago.edward cusic, labkon's 47- year-old son, is charged with murder in her death. investigators say he used a

her.cbs 2 news reporter stephanie johnson is live outside the linn county courthouse with what we're learning. yesterday the prosecution played the 911 call...today they brought in witnesses to detail the night edward cusic is accused of murdering his mother one by one different witnesses took the stand. on the night of the murder officer ryan harrelson drove mr. cusic down to the precinct. he said mr. cusic seemed very tired. prosecutors shared audio from that police ride with the courtroom. she ran to me with a dagger in her hand. so i ran to the garage for a crow bar defend myself.he seems very tired,
