rapids. good evening.the final count-down to the caucuses - brought republican presidential candidates back to the corridor. corridor.five candidates gathered in front of a crowd tonight at theheu-s cellular center to be part of the "rising tide" summit. cbs 2 news reporter steffi lee is here to tell us about the headline that dominated the conversation. hundreds packed into the u.s. cell center to see 5 republican candidates, in the final weeks before the caucuses at the rising tide summit.this wasn't a debate - but an open discussion.the candidates took the stage to talk about free market and limited government, but also talked about the biggest headline in america right now. now. senator rand paul, senator ted crus, dr. ben carson, former senator rick santorum and carly fiorina de sure thousands of voters know where they stand less than two months from the iowa caucuses. first district congressman rod blum sponsored saturday's event with the grassroots

in southern california, memorials are being held for the 14 people *killed this week in san bernardino. investigators are still trying to figure out how the two suspects went from seemingly ordinary people to ruthlessss killers.the f-b-i says that so far, they don't think the pair were part of a larger terror cell there. and while authorities continue their investigation into *why, people living there are left having to try and explain it, to their children. "this is really going to help us be able to get into a house, to where bella can be comfortable and get the care that she needs. it means a lot to our family , and words can't describe how much it means to us." us."friends and family say, they've raised about five thousand dollars and they hope to have another event soon. just - twenty** days

salvation army partnered with walmart stores in iowa city and coralville for the" fill the truck" toy drive.these organizations have been doing this, for more than 40 years. volunteers say, this is what christmas is all about.
