investigators are still working to figure out what motivated the suspects in last week's mass shooting at a holiday party at the san bernardino health department. department.right now -- federaraagents are looking at items from the home of enrique marquez -- who has been linked to the assault rifles used by syed farook and tashfeen malik in the attack. authorities haven't talked to marquez since since he reporteded entered a mental healal facility after the shooting.farook's father told cbs news that his son spoke about tensions at the san bernardino health department where he worked. investigators also say malik pledged allegience to isisisn facebookok 14 people died in the shooting -- which is now being investigated as terrorist attack. in just his third address to

shoulder near backbone state park in delaware county.he's also believed to have been hit by a member of his hunting party.he's already been released frorothe hospital. boththshootings are under investigation. the trial for the cedar rapids man -- charged with killing his mother three years ago is continuing today. today.testimony picked back up this morning in the case of edward cusic.prosecutors say cusic killed his motherer because he wanted to steal her prescription drugs.but cusic's attorneys say he didn't know what he was doing.if he's convicted of first degree murder -- cusic will serve a mandndory sentence o olife without parole. in waterloo... waterloo...a hearing has been rescheduled for a man convicted of murder. murder. perquondis holmes wants a new trial because facebook photos were shown during his orginal trial when he says they weren't supposed to be.the prosecutor who introduced the photos also refused to come to the stand when they were called by the defense.holmes was convicted in may fofohis involvement in the nonomber 20-13 death of dae-quan campbell.his hearing will be in january.

announced an extension for medicaid's safe harbor deadline. deadline.at date now falls on april first.until then -- medicaid providers will receive 100-percent reimbursement for all services regardless of whether they're in-network under the new plan. the e gogornor's office says the extension is designed to give patients peace of mind that they can continue to see their providers.they also want to give providors more time to sign a contract with one of the companies soon managing the medicaid progogm. governor branstad and the iowa department of human services is looking for federal approval from the centers for medicare and medicaid services on a new program. program.it's called iowa health linknkit would join most medicaid programs together into one care program managed by four organizations.two groups of iowans left the corridor before sunrise this morning to talk tototate lawmakers about it.they have concerns about how money will be handled -- what that will leave for medicaid recipients and the companies being trusted with managing their care.
