cbs 2 news ten at ten continues now with more of the corridors top stories. stories.state officials are continuing to review contracts of private companies wishing to manage the state's five billion dollar medicaid program. program.at the same time today, federal officials from the centers for medicare and medicaid services began their four-day tour of iowa.many iowans, specifically ones with health conditions, or who have family members living with health conditions, believe the roll-out *will face delays. "we're looking towards organizing, making sure that we make regular visits to the capital during the session - letter writing, we're even looking towards the elections if this continues to be a partisan issue, we're definitely going to be targeting candidates." candidates."rhonda shouse, who lives with a disability herself, says hearing that is encouraging and she believes the change will be delayed

new tonight at ten, ten,some residents in north liberty spent the evening addressing the potential ban on guns on city property. property.tonight, the city council took a step to resolve the issue. issue.cbs 2 news reporter dora miller is live with the update. the council members decided they would not create a resolution...instead - in a discussion - the city determined the recreation center and the library will have to revise their policies banning weapons. we did hear from the public, but the council did most of the talking tonight. some council members say they want to be sure they are legally allowed to ban weapons, without going against state codes. other members on the board argued that everything should be left alone since the waters have been muddied with questions about state codes, determining what is city

the cedar rapids firm responsible for removing the asbestos.the report says the potential exposure occured three times during the school year.the school district says safety is their top priority and they are cooperating with the d-n-r. in a cbs 2 news follow-up, follow-up,the 14-year-old boy who killed 15-year-old aaron richardson this summer, has pleaded guilty.as part of a deal with prosecutors, robert humbles pleaded guilty to a charge of voluntary manslaughter.he was originally arged with first-degree murder.humbles will be held in a juvenile detention center until he's 18, at which point he could be moved to prison. the case of edward cusic is now in the hands of linn county jurors.he's the 47- year-old man charged with first degree murder for killing his mother, anita years ago. ago.closing arguments were delivered earlier today. prosecutors said d sic was well aware of what he did on the night of his mother's murder. his defense team

impairment. this is compmper science education week and to promote the subject, the cedar rapids community school district is partnering with imagination iowa to teach code.thrououout this week, hundeds of students from several schools have the opportunity to participate in what's called hour of code. organizers say while coding is easy for some, it's a challenge for others. nevertrtless, the l lguage of computer science is an all-around important topic. new details continue to emerge in the san bernardino mass shooting investigation. investigation.syed farook and his wife tashfeen malik murdered 14-people and injured 21-others. cbs 2 newsas learned farook took out a 28- thousand dollar cash loan in the weeks before the attack. the f-b-i also says malik attended a middle eastern seminary known for its anti-western views. investigators say malik praised isis on facebook just befofo the attack. donald trump meanwhile is defending his controversial comments on banning muslims from entering the u.s. he says failure to block muslims would result in a september 11th style attack. many of trumps supporters are standing behind him saying recent terrorist attacks
