one of the most wanted men in kansas may be hiding out in iowa and there's a 20-thousand dollar rard for information leading to arrest. u-s marshals are searching for bryan levi bridges. they say he and others were trying to rob a home in pittsburg, kansas wn the homeowners startled them.bridges is accused of shooting and killing one of the homeowners. officials say he is now on the run and has ties to iowa. bridges is 5-foot-7, about 170 pounds andmay be going by the name el chinito.o. police in cedar rapids are still trying to figure out who's responsible for gunfire last night. it happened near sixth street and 16-th avenue southwest at around 8-15.no one was hurt, nor was there damage found, but officers recovered two shell casings at the scene.

arson.investigators determined that 18-yeye-old royce lenth poured gasoline on a fire inside the detached garage of his home.at the time, three other people were inside that garage - but all got out safely.lenth is charged with second dedeee arson and faces up to ten years in prison,. veterans in cedar rapids say there's new hope tonight, and it comes in the form of a new home that's being built just for them. cbs 2 news reporter joy howe is here to tell us about "patriot place." it's tough to hear - but it's a sad *fact, there are veterans in our community living in their cars - or at shelters. today, some of them got t e news that a new home is being built just for them. "healing our heroes" is a non-profit founded by the wife, daughter and granddaughte r of veterans. kelly ridenour says when she first started working with vets, she immediately saw the need for veteran housing. today, she and cedar rapids leaders presented the community with a 9-million dollar, veteran-

for more political headlines, don't forget to join cbs 2 news anchor kevin barry sunday morning for iowa in focus.it airs at 10-30 right here on cbcb2. mumps cases seem to be betrending back down in iowa. this year, the have been 195 cases confirmed across the state, but 162 were found in johnson county.a lot of those cases occured at the university of iowa - due to the highly contagious nature of the virus.the school gave out more than 48-hundred free vaccines to o students to help curb the spread of mumps. graduate students at the university of iowa iowaare asking to school to help them fight against rent increases at an apartment complex on university property. property.students say rents at aspire at west campus are higher than expected and exploitative.some say they're being priced out of their only on-campus housing option. university presididt bruce harreld urged the property management company to listen to student concerns. the
