the department tells cbs 2 news, officers responded to the intersection of linn and quincy streets at about 11-30 this morning.witnesses on the scene told police they saw a group of people in a car shooting at another group in a van, both took off before police got there.one home was hit during the shootout.no one was hurt and no arrests have been made. also in waterloo,friends and family gathered tonight to remember moe sed. sed. sed was first reported missing more than a month ago.last week, his body was found in the cedar river not far from gilbertville.a vigil was held tonight in his honor at waterloo west high school, where sed was a student. investigators are still trying to determine an official cause of death. in cedar county, the city of west branch will soon be giving a local company tax breaks for wind energy. city leaders stopped giving rebates to acciona windpower, saying the company hadn't created enough jobs in the area.today a judge disagreed

terms of its agreement with west branch.the city must now pay out nearly five-million dollars in rebates to the company. a recent vote by the cedar rapids city council is stirring up some controversy. controversy.the council split 5-to-3 this week to open negotiations on a half-million dollar financial package for terex minerals.that's to keep the company from moving its operations and 50- good paying jobs to a furnished building in marion.terex says it would like to stay in cedar rapids, but needs financial help to furnish existing office space at the fountains.several council members voiced their objections to providing tax increment financing just for furniture. now ten at ten continues with a look at tonight's other stories across the corridor. in iowa city,a temporary shelter is giving people in the corridor a warm place to sleep.26-people were in the shelter on monday night, more than tripling the number of guests on the first night last year.organizers tell cbs 2
