we now know the name of the man manwho started shooting at people inside a north carolina mall on christmas eve. authorities say 18-year-old daquan westbrook was shot and killed by an off-duty police officer.witnesses say westbrook started shoing at someone inside the mall yesterday fternoon. investigators believe the violence was sparked by

high school's student government adopted 20 veterans' families for christmas to givthem financl relief this holiday season.the linn county veteran's affairsrsprovided the veteran's names - so they could craft wish lists. lists. "my family's happiness. - there's nothing more important."covering the corridor in cr, steffi lee, cbs 2 news, ten at ten now ten at ten continues with a look at tonight's other stories acroro the corridor. in cedar rapids,'mission of hope' opened its doors to give a warm meal to anybody who needed it. but today was actually the first time mission of hope cooked for folks on christmas day. volunteers we caught up with say it's worth giving up some time on christmas with their families to give back. this afternoon in iowa city, the free lunch program *also dished up dinner.normally, the group serves food monday through saturday at noon.but organizers start about a month ahead of time thering what they need for the annual

y meals.60 volunteers worked in shifts to make all the fixings come together for 200 guests. in williamsburg, two kids are making sure that families in *their area have a merry y christmas.two years ago, joe and matty kueter noticed some kids in their class wore the same clothes to school day after day.so, they collected some of *their clothes, and took them to school to the kids.now, joe and matty's "giving tree" has expanded into a clothes and toy drive - their family takes anonymous wish lists from family's who aren't sure if they can afford gifts for christmas. if you didn't get what you wanted under the tree -it's ok, take comfort in knowing, u're not alone. consumer reports estimates around 40- percent of americans try to *return or *exchange a gift they don't like.some stores say that they've seen an increase in shoplifters trying to return *stolen items for cash.experts say you should have a reciept if f u're tryingngo take back a gift.you should also keep the item in

police departments across the corridor are warning people to be on the look out for con artists selling *fake rose bowl tickets. cedar rapids police have taken several reports of fake tickets being sold on craigslist.they say the seller is meeting people outside cedar rapids movie theaters, taking the money and gging t the fake tickets.in marion, some one is driving around a white car with washington state license plates and is going door-to- door selling fake tickets.if you encounter either of these people, police say, please give them a call! meanwhile, some lucky hawkeye fans did find some *real rose bowl tickets under their christmas tree this morning. this is some video that the rose bowl's "official twitter account" retweeted today. needless to say, they look ready to go. go.get yourself ready for the game with our 30-minute road to the roses special which will air new year's eve at
