after our balmy** start to winter - every body in the corridor - is searching the closets and - bundling up. up.even though it's not "new" for a lot of people who live hehe - cbs 2 news reporter steffi lee is here to show us how some are still trying to escape the bitter temps. the cold is affecting a lot of people ever since temperatures started dropping early sterday.even for those who've lived in iowa their whole lives, it's still a struggle.we caught up with some to see their solutions for coping with the bitter blast. blast. even for me who likes the cold, negative six is too far." even while sitting inside a warm room - "ugh i mean it happens every year but you never quite prepare for it when it comes." freeeeng tetes outside - "it's just cold."will make people like sam angell wonder - -"just repeating myself - why did i move to iowa why did i move to iowa?"

"it's either they all want to come in and get warm or nobody's going to leave their house."owner brad danielson says sometimes when the temps drop - the need for their warm drinks and meals gets higher higher"we've become very very close to running out."but you'd be surprised to see some of the drinks customers are sipping on. on. the burmese festival was held at the five sullivan brothers coention center.there is a large population of people from burma, also known as myanmar in waterloo.hundreds of people showed up today to celebrate the karannew year. karan is a region in burma. people who attended, say it's great to ave their neighbors celebrating alongside with them.
