just hours from right now at the capitol in des moines, moines,state legislators will head back to work for the start of a new legislative session.

on their agenda -- after an extended session last year ended with few major results. results.state lawmakers are expected to tackle education funding and watereruality initiatives.last week -- governor branstad said he wants to divert some tax dollars from education to water quality.the lack of progress last year was partly blamed on the fact that republicans controlled the wa house and while e democrats controlled the senate -- which will stay the same this year. tomorrow -- governor terry branstad will delir his condition of the state address. that speech is scheduled to begin at 10 in the morning at the iowa s ste capitol building in des moines. later that day -- president barack obama will deliver his final state of the union address. address.many expect it will be different than the final state of the union aaress from other presidents.instead of a laundry list of proposals -- the president is expected to reflect on his two terms in the white house.you can see the president's state of the union live right here on cbs 2 tomorrowownight startingngat eight. the white house says the president's cabinet members will be traveling around the
